Several places told me Global Transmission is the best place in town to get a full transmission flush.
I scheduled a regular 70,000+ mile transmission full service more than a week prior to the appointment (in person). I agreed to drop it Friday morning so they could get it done Friday (I work Saturday).
At 3:40 PM Friday I get a call that my truck has a "misfire" and needs new coils & plugs! I dropped it at 8 AM!
I denied that service & said that I must have my truck today so I can work tomorrow. At 4:47 I got a call to come get my truck (they close at 5, but I was already on my way & was only 3 minutes away at the time).
While paying the bill I learn that all Global Transmission did was pull the drain plug on the transmission pan, drain approximately 4 quarts out of a 9 quart system, and add 4 fresh quarts. When I asked about flushing the torque converter, Adam says, "No, we don't have the machine to do that." That's BS! They are a transmission shop!!
I'll never again go to that junk yard called Global Transmission, and I'll be telling everyone I know of the poor service one should expect to receive there.
PS: At drop-off, I did mention an oddity in either the engine or transmission which I experienced periodically.
Since getting 4 fresh quarts in a 9 quart system, I've not experienced that same issue. I guess I didn't really need to do the $700 "misfire" repair!
