Think again if you plan on purchasing a Genesis from Genesis of West Houston. I bought a new Genesis G90 from this dealership, and they offered me a tire and wheel warranty package. I accepted, thinking it was a Genesis-backed warranty, but it was a third-party warranty company, Apex Protection Plan. Recently, when it came time, legitimately, the warranty should have replaced two unrepairable wheels after I ran over a large metal object on the freeway, but they refused to do it. I called Genesis of West Houston manager Demarco Guillory and asked him to support me and help me recover payment for my wheels. Demarco refused and told me I was responsible for working directly with this third-party warranty company, even though I purchased the tire and wheel warranty from Genesis of West Houston. I still have not received a $1,600.00 payment for the two wheels legitimately damaged and required replacement.
To make matters worse, this damage to my wheels occurred while I was on vacation, and the car ended up in Boerne, Texas, more than 200 miles from my hometown of Houston. As the Tire and Wheel warranty company requested, a wheel repair company representative went to the Boerne, Texas, Genesis dealership and confirmed that the wheels could not be repaired.
Genesis does not back the warranties West Houston Genesis offers. They are from a third-party company. Their contract reads that if the wheels are not repairable, they will pay for their replacement, which they refused to do. I recommend you ensure that any warranty you purchase from West Houston Genesis is backed by Genesis and not by a third-party vendor. I have owned Mercedes-Benz cars for the last 47 years and received excellent service from them. If I had known that Genesis Of West Houston G90 would provide such lousy service, I would never have bought a Genesis from them. Now, I need to look for another Genesis dealership that will provide me with good service for my Genesis. I worked with two salespeople when purchasing my Genesis from Genesis Of West Houston. Within two weeks of buying the Genesis. I found out that the two salesmen I dealt with had been terminated. I was never told that and never assigned another salesman. Wish me Luck!
