My daughters and some of their girl friends drove to Panama City Beach in early March 2026 to stay at our cottage in Laguna Beach for a few days. After they arrived, one of my daughters let me know the battery light on the dash board of our vehicle (2015 Jeep Cherokee Trail hawk) came on so I asked them to stop by Advanced Auto Parts on back beach road to diagnose the problem. It was diagnosed as a bad alternator and the vehicle had apparently been running on battery power so now the battery was drained/ruined and the vehicle wouldn’t start back up. Of course, this had to happen in the evening after most shops were closed. I called Dream Coast first and Eric answered the phone (after hours) and I explained the situation to him. He went out of his way to collect the keys from my daughter who had used Uber to go back to our cottage from Advanced Auto, then he collected our broken down vehicle from the Advanced Auto parking lot using an extra battery he had at his shop. This saved my daughter the time and effort of getting him the keys and saved me the expense of having it towed. While he had the vehicle, I asked him to diagnose another issue my daughter told me about which ended up being a significant and labor intensive repair. He gave me a very fair estimate for all of the repairs and told me he could have it done in two days. All of the repairs were completed less than 48 hours later which was amazing to me. After the repairs were complete Eric was gracious enough to pick up my daughter at our cottage up to avoid her having to walk to the shop or take an Uber.
Their service was excellent, their prices were fair, and they met the timeline for repairs they gave us which was so helpful!
Our vehicle hasn’t run this well in months. Even though our primary residence is hours away, when possible we plan to let Dream Coast make repairs on our other vehicles as they have certainly earned our trust.
