I was 400 miles from home. The alternator was bad due to leaking power steering fluid getting into it. The staff was very friendly and seemed generally concerned with my problem. They found ways for me to save cost by buying my own parts and applying a military discount. However, the battery light stayed on following the repair. This is causing me concern regarding whether the repair was properly completed. The good news is that I drove the 400 miles home safely to Hixson, TN. The battery light is still on.

Customer was adviced that the light was still on due to not buying a Ford alternator. There are diodes in the Ford alternator that turns the light off. Aftermarket alternators still charge the system but the light will stay on. Customers was advised of this.Save money or use the correct parts.
