Love it A cool stylish auto for an older woman and the right size for a short person

Am a small person, great size for me. Excellent on gas mileage, parks easy, handles well. Only real complaint i have is head rests are too high. Passenger side way too high, difficult to see to right for driver, uncomfortable for passenger. Would have helped if sales man had explained about no spare tire, the compressor in back where it was and how to use.

Vehicle review

This model is equipped with the 2.4 liter multi air engine. Recently, it became necessary to have the long block replaced because of excessive oil consumption. I was told this was caused by a defective design of the pistons and rings. The reason this problem came to light is that the vehicle stalled out when the oil level dropped to a point that caused the computer to shut down the engine as a safeguard. However, there were no warning lights. I’ve been told that there were software recalls as well on some models. This information came from FCA . The dealer service department was not able to provide any information.I also find that the cloth fabric upholstery is of poor quality. In, my opinion the fabric on the driver’s seat has worn in a short amount of time. A seat belt guide on the upper part of one of the rear seats broke rather easily. Otherwise, the vehicle seems to be relatively reliable. I’ve had no starting or runability issues.

Performance

For the most part am satisfied with it. Gas mileage is good and enough power to be out on interstate. Easy to park and fairly easy to get into. High enough for me to see over steering wheel and can see down in ditches. Road noise is loud as well as when wind blows. Head rests are up too high and makes it too back up. Am a Jeep driver and will always continue to do so.

Vehicle review

I’m not pleased with the fact that the 2.4 multi air engines have an issue of excess oil consumption. Additionally, if the oil level drops to a certain level the engine will stall out, I understand that this is a safeguard to prevent engine failure. The problem is that there are no warning signs that the oil is low (i.e) no low oil light. According to the service manager she does not know why there are no warning signs. Nor, does she know why the problem is occurring in the first place. Furthermore, the service manager has stated that FCA does not share any information on this issue with the dealership.

Something is Wrong

Occasionally I get an electrical issue. Where is the touch screen acts really weird Or the vehicle does not start the first time or the horn doesn’t sound when you push the lock button on the handle. I get the brush off when I mentioned this to the dealer. But I know there is something wrong

Very spacious

This little Jeep has a lot headroom and makes you feel It's bigger inside than outside. Styling is nice and unique. Haven't taken it offroad but looking forward to it. The radio gave us some problems but has seems to have fixed itself.
