Fantastic car with a superpower.
In looking for a car, the most important things to me are, in order: fuel efficiency, safety, value. This car has all of those things. I have the Eco version. This is a hidden superpower. The car is a big, comfortable midsize, with plenty of power for passing and safety getting up to speed, but it gets the gas mileage of a compact. I always hit at least the EPA figures: 28 in the city & 37 on the highway. I regularly do better. A summer trip from the Twin Cities to Milwaukee with two adults and three teenagers and all of our luggage in the car we ran between 40 & 42 mpg all the way. It's fun to drive by tiny Toyota Yaris & Honda Fits (fine cars, too, I'm sure) and know that you're getting better mileage. In the 38,000 miles I've had it, I've only had to do routine maintenance. No repairs. So far, so good. On top of this, the car was thousands less than the Altima, Camry, & Accord I was looking at when I made the purchase. This pushed me over the edge on this one, despite the Altima having more comfortable seats. The warranty just wasn't there on that one, either. The next car I get, however, I will want better safety features. Emergency city braking and blind spot detection, which I don't have on this one, will be a must. So I'd like those features. Some people say the design is too conservative. I like the classic, clean lines. I could care less about "fun to drive." There is no such thing. Driving is a horrible, stressful chore in any vehicle. So while I give it a 7, understand that this is just because it is a poor question. It isn't full of hideous creases & ugly tail lights like a Civic. I'd buy one again.
