Winter-time in a Genesis is cold w/out the AUTO!
Overall, I enjoy driving my new Genesis GV80. However, there is a "BUT." When the temps dropped in Michigan in November, I couldn't figure out why there was no heat getting to my shins and feet. My daughter and I froze on the way to school and I began to dread the drive. I called my sales rep and he told me that the trick to getting heat in the footwells is to place the heat on AUTO, with all three lights illuminated. That works a lot but when the car turns a corner there are drafts of cold air that invade the footwells. It's quite cold. In addition, many times when I approach the car, it doesn't automatically unlock. I oftentimes am waiting for the two beeps that signals the "unlock" for ten seconds. And in single digit temps, it seems like an eternity. I regularly auto-start the car as well as remotely unlock it but it doesn't unlock half of the time I use that function.
