Please understand whoever is reading this dishonest review that we replaced a door lock actuator on March 19th 2026, customer brings it in almost 6 months later September 9th due to their window falling down from a bad/worn window regulator, is quoted price to repair it and makes the claim we broke it from doing the door lock actuator 6 months prior which wouldnt be possible. This review makes it seem as though we returned the vehicle back to him with a broken regulator which is simply untrue. Secondly they are 2 different issues however this customer seems to believe they are related. We strive to be fair and honest in all the work we do and explained everything from start to finish. Unfortunately this is a case of a difficult customer making claims with Zero proof and understanding of how these repairs work. Extremely disappointed with Zarate Auto Care and their complete lack of accountability.
I brought my van in specifically to have the sliding door actuator replaced. The window in that door was working and NOT broken when I dropped the vehicle off. After they completed the actuator repair—which requires working inside and reassembling that same door—suddenly the window in that exact door is broken.
Now Zarate Auto Care refuses to take responsibility and wants to charge me approximately another $600 to repair a problem that DID NOT EXIST before they worked on my vehicle.
That’s unacceptable.
I understand that things can accidentally happen during a repair. What I don’t accept is returning a customer’s vehicle with something broken that was working beforehand and then expecting the customer to pay hundreds of dollars more to fix it.
I brought my van in with one problem. I paid to have that problem repaired, and I left with a brand-new problem in the exact same door they worked on.
Based on my experience, I would seriously think twice before bringing a vehicle here. Take pictures and videos of everything before handing them your keys, because if something isn’t working afterward, you may find yourself being told it’s your responsibility.
