Dishonest - Not Recommended
Three days ago I installed a brand new $430 Steer Smarts Yeti Extreme Duty tie rod on my jeep wrangler using anti seize compound and wanted an alignment. While the mechanic was working on my jeep the business owner/manager told me the tie rod was frozen and couldn't be adjusted without removing it, tearing it all down and redoing it. This is the easiest tie rod to adjust ever made and is brand new. A couple hours of work at $100/HR. I was blessed that the mechanic is an honest man and didn't play along with the scam and quickly finished and drove my jeep out of the bay. The owner/manager then tried to get the mechanic to say he found other things wrong while he was under there but the mechanic said everything was well maintained and looked good. I hope the mechanic finds a better place to work, he deserves better. I wouldn't want to work for a lying scam artist and thief.
