My old 1996 van AC had a slow leak. Twice before, the O-rings were replaced at YTire by another mechanic who no longer work there. It was not fixed and kept losing freon slowly.
We thought the leak may be with the compressor. Jessica ordered a new compressor in preparation to be replaced.
The new mechanic, Jim checked thoroughly and located a very slow leak in the high pressure stradder valve. The compressor was not needed and it saved me money.
Since the van is old, Jessica had to research and locate an exact stradder valve.
She first found a replacement part locally but the part and threading did not look identical with the original part. She finally found one in Florida that looked identical. It took a week for the part to delivered.
Both Jessica and Jim are very friendly and thorough. Because Jim and Jessica did a thorough job to correct the leak and locate the correct replacement part, it saved me time and cost since it was not the compressor.
