We went to test drive a CPO Arteon during Memorial Day. My bad I drove a 911 to get there, it simply set sale guy in the wrong mood. Arteon was tested, drove smooth...2 year old car, 28k miles, CPO...all fine.
At the end of the drive Will, the "product specialist" advised us that they are different than all other dealer because they prefer to explain everything upfront to avoid misunderstanding and surprises.
He started talking about the 6 (!!!) years od warranty and all other optional warranties they offer to protect my investment...he mentioned that the car will hold the value and runs on a perfectly balanced 6 cylinders engine. I've asked to open the trunk….surprise, the 2.0 4cylinder engine was there pretty small for the spase and visible....
we moved inside the office, Will took his time to "run" the number "if we were interested in driving home the Arteon today"...(not sure if the number would have run if we would have decided to buy it the day after!!)
Anyway, 2021 Arteon SEL-R Black, $32.9K as advertised on all website...the paper presented to us was listing $48.5K more than 15K more than the advertised price.
We discovered that in addition to 2k for dealership fee (Will explained was for the CPO) and the 450 fee (paperwork) and taxes, all the other voices, at least 6, where for additional "shielding" insurances...insurance for everything: engine/transmission/paint/rims/loan/etc...for more than a third of the car value.
the piece of paper was "for internal use only" otherwise I would have posted...NEVER EVER GO THERE
Deal breaker was a nice GolfR in display, brand new...MRP price 48K... guess what? same as the 2 years Arteon...
I have asked about it cause my wife liked it and Will told me that around $75K would be needed. Asked why? his answer was that everyone wants that, and price goes up..."Piazza Ardmore just sold the same model 20th anniversary for 15-20grams more!!!!"
PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, ONLY IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE EVERYTHING THAT NEED TO BE AVOIDED OR FOR LEARNING SCOPE GO THERE.
Was not possible for me to get the paper.
Was not possible for me to have the details of all the insurance...when I asked the most pricey one listed for 3700$ I was told that that was the extension up to 8years or 100k miles to cover the entire car...but why 8 I asked, the car does not come with 2 CPO and 24k mi?
...guess what, here Will answer: "was not economical to put the car on CPO, so we prefer to offer the extend warranty to protect your investment up to year 8!!! (and the extension comes to a price for customer…so the 2k listed???)
My wife asked again about the Golf R, but apparently even if I was ready to issue a card and pay cash for the $48k (plus fee and tax) the car was not sellable to me...because everyone wants it
of course, the Arteon nobody wants, this is maybe why from 33k the price bumped up to 48k.
Las chance, he called his manager
(let me say that for me a manager is one that first is able to listen...then to explain or talk0
this guy came, asked if removing all the optional insurances/warranty I would have taken the car out today...my answer was no
he was so upset and left..what a MANAGER!!
In a nutshell: car onsite is not CPO, the dealership focus is selling insurances not car.
Will, the product specialist. does not even know what is selling...

Topr Rated Customer Service
The BEST Customer Service
The service department is knowledgeable, professional, caring and helpful. They provide a strong value in making sure their customers are happy. Frank Indelicato and his service team are the best I've ever dealt with at a dealership.
I look forward to returning for service and referring friends and family to Langhorne VW.
Love the service I always receive when I bring my car in for anything. The staff (especially Frank, Service Manager) is caring, helpful, knowledgeable, and always provides excellent customer service.
They have maintained their level of quality over the years and continue to do so. From the moment one enters the "shop" the counter people comport themselves like a friend to help a friend take care of a problem. I purchased my new GSR at another dealership, but still use VW of Langhorne as my service provider.
Its easy to schedule, on time in and on time out , while I wait working on my tablet or watching television and sipping coffee in a clean and spacious customer lounge
Service is excellent. Staff is so friendly and knows me by name. My Jetta runs like a champ due to Frank and the mechanics checking everything each visit. Love my dealership!
I came in about a month ago, debating between a Ford Focus ST and a GTI. At the time I was set on the Focus, but I knew I needed to try something else out before I went with the Ford. I came in and met Bruce, who is one of the few car salesmen I've met whom I didn't feel pressured by. Needless to say, before I got out of the GTI on the test drive, I knew I wanted the VW way more than the Ford. Bruce was extremely patient with me while I was selling my car independently, and worked with me to get me in the car I wanted. Above all, when we sat down to negotiate price, the was offered to me at invoice, with the top tier money rate, assuming great credit. This is the only dealership I've ever dealt with that hasn't tried to work me over in the negotiation. I can't say enough, really top notch experience.
I brought my 2012 VW Beetle in the day after I received my new registration in the mail... not only was I able to be scheduled IMMEDIATELY, the mechanics noticed a bubble on one of my tires (probably a leftover injury from last winter's horrible roads). I was immediately notified of this dangerous situation and the tire was replaced during the inspection. THANK YOU LANGHORNE VW - you probably saved my life!
