Time:
They stated that they couldn't help me unless I dropped off my vehicle for the day, and which could be picked up at the end they close, which is 5 pm. On the day of pickup, I was informed that the vehicle would be ready by 5:30 pm. No biggie.
Cost and Service:
I had replaced both front wiper blades prior to the inspection, as I knew it was necessary to pass the inspection. They called me and stated that they "took the liberty to change the rear wiper" at a cost of $19.95, as it was necessary to pass the state inspection. Upon verifying with the NYS DMV website, I told them that this was not needed to pass the inspection. They then stated that "even though I was correct in theory, they needed to do so". They also "allegedly" changed a left marker bulb which wasnt out, as I have a habit of checking all of this prior to an inspection. Unfortunately, I will have to take pictures of the vehicle in the future as proof, so I didnt argue this replacement. This bulb (parts plus labor) costed me an additional $32+. There is also a 4% fee for using a credit card. I ended up paying a total of $81.12 for the State Inspection alone ($21 plus parts I didnt need). I had just come here from my job, I was tired, and decided to just pay it as there was no getting away from paying this sleazy business. I am never coming back again and will also inform others not to. You are better off going to another mechanic, even if it means going to those notorious name brand franchises. STAY AWAY!!!
