It is imperative that we support mom and pop businesses in our communities.
Up North Truck and Tire is the first store of its kind in Alpena. A combination full-service tire center as well as a custom vehicle installation shop. We saw a need for a new option that could offer better service, better prices, more choices, and a modern shopping experience.
We are locally owned and operated. We hire local professionals with high character who know our customers. We are contracting with local businesses for signage and utilities. Once we were alone, he refused to listen to my concerns and stated that he was “washing his hands” of the situation. He declined both items and refused to provide service altogether. This interaction was abrupt, uncomfortable, and embarrassing, especially considering how different it was from our prior professional communication.
The experience felt unprofessional and unexpected. I hope management addresses this and that an apology is offered, as this was not the level of service I anticipated or had previously received.
