Service nightmare on brand new vehicle
When I told service not to let any "mechanics" drive my vehicle on a joy ride, several times, and I would perform the test drive after the reprogram of the ecu to see if the cel and parking brake warnings come on again and my truck comes back with not only one tour with over 25 miles, but two joy rides that totaled over 50 miles, that's BS!!! Must be one of those guys who thinks he maintains and paid for my vehicle?
I filled the (filthy) loner with more gas than it had when given to me and whoever drove my vehicle went through 4 gallons of of No-Eth gas (almost $5 a gal!) and I get it back with a quarter tank?! After I said no joy rides. Made several calls to Towne after waiting 4 days on a job that should have taken 15 minutes and funny (not) it was done that day. I also wasted my time on an appointment made 2 weeks prior, when service said they would at least scan it and see why the cel came on. Nope. Waste of time and gas driving there. Then the "Blame the lemons problems on the customer" came out. When I was told "poor fuel" quality may have led to the cel coming on, that's an insult. Didn't even have 3k on the truck and wow, the better No-eth fuel must be the problem! Or blame the gas station!? Dealers always put the warranty work on the back-burner and prioritize the money making, out of warranty work first.
No wonder the service guy bailed before I could inspect my truck and then see the unbelievable mileage on it. I bet they will say, "we have to do the test drive and put on a certain amount of miles on it". I told them not without me. They could have sprung for dinner or lunch for me too or wherever 50+ miles came from. The E-brake problems were there from day one and it took almost a year to get this resolved. Maybe they should add a year to my warranty? Dealers and service don't want the second largest purchase in your life to last. I'm on the opposite side. Prices are nuts on vehicles that only give you a base 3yr warranty. With the unbelievable amounts of recalls and problems Ford has been having the last several years, they should treat people a lot better.
