Apparently does not need new business nor care
While on my way to a 30k mi maintenance appt, on June 24th, 2022, for my 2019 Tucson I bought a yr earlier from B.O., it began rod-knocking and then died with no warning(exact syptoms/basis for several class actions/settlements). HMA denied my claim. Not only did Tipton NOT "go to bat" for me, they said I needed new engine and would get back to me with price. 6 sent emails and 4 text msgs, over 2 week period, service dept finally got back to me. First, they would not work with me on labor, repair costs, offer payment plan...nothing. Basically,"8k, take it or leave it." I then asked how long it would take to get engine and install....that was a month ago. Calls, texts, emails go completely unanswered. (I have screenshots of all attempted contact and correspondence, with timeline.) I gave up on service dept and honestly didnt want to spend 8k on a remaned engine. So, I decide to look at just trading it and buying a new one....from THEM. You can't even beg these people to sell you a car. For over 6 weeks, Ive asked questions and presented offers to 3 different salesman through phone, MANY, MANY DMs, texts, you name it. NOTHING! All I get is, "I'll get with my manager and get back to you". Weeks go by, nothing. All the while the cars I'm interested in are being sold. I don't live in Brownsville, I work in Brownsville. I live an hour away and I can't be making trips there on my only day off to FORCE someone to give some attention to me, a frustrated yet STILL potential buyer, and take my money. What is worse, they all know I've been renting a car out of my own pocket, as no loaner was provided and warranty wouldn't cover rental. I gave Hyundai, Tipton Service Dept AND Tipton Sales Dept benefit of doubt, assuming they are in the business of obtaining new customers, providing customer service to the best of their abillity and thus retaining said customers for future sales, service, referals etc. I work in high-end retail and was even a Pre-owned Vehicle Sales Manager for 3 years, so I know not only how these depts work, how important negotiations are, customer care and building a continuing,"pipeline" for future growth is, and this dealership has failed massively, in my eyes. My car has sat there over 2 months as I rent and they don't even seem to care enough to TAKE MY MONEY that I'm willing to hand over, much less assist in getting me into a new vehicle. In my 30 plus yrs in retail, sales and service, I've never seen anything remotely like this.

It's was a Hyundai long process as to the replacement of the new engine and I'm thankful that Tipton Hyundai of Brownsville was there helping as what was needed to do the job.

Service on my vehicle
Really loved the way John took care of me when I took my car to get serviced. He worked with my work schedule for me to take in my car. He was very friendly, and took care of me quick. I had my 2 yr old daughter with me and we were in and out. I had an issue with my tire pressure and they looked into that and he assured me everything was in great shape. I'm glad I know when my car needs services again it's going to be a great experience and for sure I'll be asking for John!!!

Personnel were professional
It was my first time taking in my vehicle for an oil change, the front desk clerk was very nice and listened to my concerns. After my vehicle was serviced I noticed they had given a quick wash/rinse, and I thought that was very courteous of them.

Terrible service.. Rude Staff!
Service attendant accused me of spilling a drink in my car, without even knowing what was wrong with it. Proceeded to tell me they may not cover the cost if it was my fault. Turns out there was a defective electrical issue that had nothing to do with anything I did. I had just had coffee on my way to the store when my vehicle stalled and it smelled like coffee, which he assumed I spilt. He also recommended that i return to the dealership where I purchased the car. After speaking to the manager they ultimately fixed my car, but it was a terrible experience overall and I will never return.
