The Car Doctors is a great friendly place to get work done on your vehicle. Everyone is very personable and cares about your needs as a customer. My biggest take away from my experience with them is the fact that they care about all their customers and their satisfaction. Any concerns a customer has, they will address and help find the best solution. They care about the quality of their work, and I find that to be the most important thing at any automotive shop. Overall, The car doctors is the best place to go for a great customer experience, genuine people that care about you and your vehicle, and quality work that they put their name behind.

Acceptable work, but could be better

I had rust repaired in my drivers door jam, and the work is acceptable. The paint was the correct color, but there were a few runs and gritty overspray in several areas. They welded a new piece of metal in and cut a hole for a clip to under in. The piece that was cut out was still attached by a thread and hanging inside the body. I feel needle nose pliers and a few minutes could easily get it out. However, a plastic trim covers it, so I’m not very concerned. What was concerning, is when they sandblasted the metal, they left the speaker and door panel uncovered. There was sand everywhere, window switches, door handle, ext. As a result, my speaker was rattling for some reason after their work. I give the car doctors great credit for helping resolve the issue immediately and being professional about the situation. The other issue is pricing. I was quoted about 6 hours of work, which stayed true. However the paint materials cost came close to 300 dollars. I understand materials are whatever materials cost, but I would have preferred to get notified about the addition of how expensive the paint was. I was expecting around 600 dollars and it ended up being 900. Overall, I wouldn’t say my experience was great nor bad. The work is about a 3.7/5. The environment and professionalism 4.5/5. And the price a 3/5 just due to the lack of communication regarding pricing along the process. I am satisfied with my experience, but am left with a slight sour taste after having to spend nearly 50% more than I anticipated and having that sandblasting hiccup. I would go to the car doctors again, but would like to see these minor improvements.

Regarding the paint, three stage paint with shimmer is the most expensive paint to get, and to lessen the impact to your wallet, we sold it to you at our cost.
