Routine Maintenance
I went in today, June 10, 2025, for routine maintenance. I had an oil change and tire rotation. After sitting for over an hour, I went to the service desk and asked about my Renegade. Someone, I wish I knew his name because he was extremely polite, went out to ask for me. He told me the Jeep was on the rack and should be finished soon. Another 15mns past before a service tech came out to tell me my lugs had swollen and the techs were having a difficult time removing the wheels. They were resizing the heads and informed me I would need new lugs soon. He was super nice and apologized for the wait. After 2 hours, my jeep was ready. I have had issues with the Renegade using oil since the first day I purchased it new in 2017. I complained every oil change. I was told various reasons each time. "It's normal. It's a Jeep Thing. Bring it back for consumption test." Which I did once and was told it was fine, but keep an eye on it or wait for a recall. Today, I questioned it again. The guy I talked to about it was short with me. Made it sound like it was all my fault. Told me I was supposed to bring it in on various occasions for consumption tests. Told me my engine had 100,000 mile warranty on it because of the oil consumption and I received paperwork detailing that...I NEVER received ANYTHING! He told me I was passed that mark now at 103,000 and there was nothing he could do about it! He was rude and lacked any decent customer service. He made me feel like my questions and concerns were a burden to him. Maybe he was having a bad day...Still doesn't justify is lack of consideration.
