My worst encounter with a car dealership: Southtown Hyundai in Newnan. Stay away! Incompetent service department. First visit for a cracked windshield resulted in ripped fabric and a scratched screen; they apologized and fixed it. Second visit for an oil change led to a massive oil spill due to a forgotten cap. They towed it back, redid the oil change, but engine cleaning chemicals damaged my front bumper. Shockingly, they initially blamed me, only admitting fault after presenting evidence. They refuse responsibility, shifting blame onto customers for their own mistakes. Stay cautious!

Stay away from the service department
My worst encounter with a car dealership: Southtown Hyundai in Newnan. Stay away! Incompetent service department. Horrible dealership
This might be one of the worst dealerships near atlanta. I have recently found out any price you see online they do not honor. Happened on two different occasions that I was present for and you probably can't see more in the comments which I have not went through. First time I went with a friend to go look at a Jeep Compass and told the salesman about the keep and the price and he immediately without checking said the Jeep wasn't that price and he didn't know anything about an internet price. He also tried to ride with that price to very end... ha funny, in the end someone changed it last minute when they figured my friend wasn't going for it.

Second occasion, my parents sent to emails about a Genesis truck, they got no response back the following day, so they called the salesman said they had the truck and through out a price, of course it's not the price they have online. I can't make this up. After further discussion the Salesman said they could honor the price, so the next day (which is today August 1st) just in case someone reading wants to verify, he calls and ask is the truck still there, they said yes and him and his wife)both in their 70's hop in a car from Alabama and drive NEWNAN, GA to look and most likely purchase the vehicle. When they get there they say the truck isn't there anymore, it's in the shop, it was a LEMON, so they bought the car back??? So in less than 48 hrs the car has changed prices twice, then hid itself in the shop which it was deemed a LEMON?! So two 70 year old drive from ALABAMA JUST FOR A CAR LISTED THAT WAS NO GOOD FROM THE BEGINNING BUT NO ONE WANTED TO SAY A THING UNTIL THEY GOT THERE. Actually it's still on the website RIGHT NOW, so go check it out!

So this is telling me every or any car listed on this website could be a LEMON and they still will post it. Who take out the time to make a listing, take pics, write a description FOR A LEMON. Well I guess this dealership does. If they didn't wanna see the truck for that price they should have said so before the drive was taken by an elderly couple! Not to mention this is the second time they have completely changed the price from what's listed online.

If times are that bad we might need to make career changes! But there a better reputable dealerships that honor their price like Jim Ellis or Ed Voyles, all Hyundai dealerships near ATLANTA! And I don't want to hear them coming behind me after my review saying you sorry, yea you are sorry, that's the only I have witness in the two times dealing with this dealership. And no I won't email so you all can make thing RIGHT! You had your chance while and elderly couple was sitting the dealership waiting for u to find the car, or even in their 2 hr drive just to get to your dealership. So save the speak after my comment, can't even tell you all to do better because that's y'all game y'all run on customers.

Hey but you can take my advice or check it out for yaself, maybe this will make start to HONOR PRICES and do business the right way.

Slimy people - lies
This company is extremely unsatisfactory. Ever since I purchased the Palisade, I have been encountering a multitude of problems. The company was dishonest with me right from the start, so I wouldn't recommend trusting their 3-year maintenance package.

Moreover, their service department is highly inadequate. I was stranded for hours on the side of 285 due to a flat tire as they neglected to return my lugnut key back in the car.

Their warranties are not reliable, and once the purchase is made, they fail to value their customers.

The managers and owner refuse to call me back to address the lies and concerns, but have another slimy sales person call me to buy my car back while I was waiting for an oil change.

Slimy sales people - dishonest company - lies all around

Worst experience ever ‼️
This dealership is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with I'm 52 years old I have work for numerous car dealerships. I have a 2009 Hyundai Genesis this company held my car for a year and a half waiting on a part that they said would fix my car. A year and a half later the park came in but didn't fix my car.. lies after lies came from this dealership service department. This company don't have mechanics they just have replacement parts mechanics they can't fix anything The only thing they do is replace parts if your part can be replaced they charge you for the work that they have done that didn't fix your car that they promised that would fix your car. So after waiting a year and a half and an extra three more months after that I still didn't get my car they wanted to charge me $1,500 for a part that didn't fix my car. So me not willing to want to pay the $1,500 because it didn't fix my car something that they promised that would I told them they can have the car. I removed my tag and personal belongings from the car and told them they can have it. A month later the Marshall's office pools in my yard serving me papers from a record company saying that I abandoned my car. How can you abandon a car that you gave to the car dealership. I told the wrecker service did I call you to pick up the car they said no who called you to pick up the car they said southtown so you should bill southtown. It's sad that this company can't fix on cars that they sell. 2 years my car sat at southtown of Newnan for months I didn't even get a call to even tell me the process of my car I had to call them to find out what was going on with my car. The day I went to give them the car I noticed the car had been sitting there it has spider webs on the tire and ground it. The car hadn't been moved in months so how can you be fixing on a car You say you're fixing on but it's been sitting outside for over 6 months. This company service department is terrible I wouldn't send a bicycle tire in there to get fixed.

So people please don't take your car to southtown Hyundai they will screw you over Even after you buy a car there I wouldn't take it back for service there they service department deserve a zero a negative zero they are terrible. they know nothing about cars or how to fix a car The only thing they do there is replace parts so if your car need fixing take it somewhere else are you will regret it. Save time & go else where
PLEASE TAKE YOUR MONEY & TIME SOMEWHERE ELSE . They will be so nice to and have you feeling out survey after survey to make them look good . As soon you drive off your nothing to them !

I scheduled service on my 21 Elantra that was purchased in 2/12/2021 . I scheduled the appointment two weeks prior from 5/27 .
I informed them that I am not sure if I need an alignment or if there’s something that’s going on with the vehicle. The car shakes when I’m stopping it also jerks. And also when you take off sometimes it major as well as when I back up a may jerk . I was supposed to get a call back within that same week from a sales advisor to go more into details about the car. Never got a call back which is understandable because I’m a busy person and I didn’t pay too much attention to it because I already had a schedule appointment. I get to my appointment on 5/27 and was greeted by the doorman. He asked what services I needed and I informed him. I walk over to the sales advisors desk because he was the only person available after I had requested to speak to a certain person. Again I am a understandable person so I understand if it’s only one person there. But I’m not sure if the guy was new or if it was just too early in the morning because it was 830 but he seemed very agitated with the questions that I was asking. I let him know the services that I was there for and asked if he can see if it needed alignment and told him the issues that I was having. His response was okay. I proceeded to go into the waiting area and waited for about an hour. Curious about the vehicle that I pay for every month I went to the sales advisors desk and asked him for the status of my vehicle. He told me that it was still being worked on I said OK great. Not even five minutes later he came back to tell me that the vehicle was ready. I asked if someone can ride with me to test drive the car & his response was why do you need that ? Do you feel like it wasn’t done ? Umm yea that’s why I’m asking for a test drive . He told me they don’t do that ( red flag ) I asked him did they look at the shaking and then I need an alignment he said oh you have to drop your car off in order for us to see what was wrong with the car . I said sir that is the point of me being here today ! Now at this point honestly my blood boiling because how do i know if you actually did your job . Then he wouldn’t release my keys until i signed paper work . So at that point my hands are tied . I signed the paper grabbed my keys . I drove off test driving my car( that i spent 106.95 on service that i feel was not done ) and was told by the service manger that i was driving like maniac and almost ran him over . I called from 10:01 Friday 5/27 , Saturday 5/28 & Monday 5/30 & still no call back . Not gone like a couple of then men there was rude pure usual & i had to get out of character because we’re not gonna pay the disrespect game. Went to the dealership on 5/30 & asked to speak to general manger because my car is still doing the same thing ( 21 Elantra that only had 5 miles on it when i got it in 2/12/2021 . That manger was the most cockiness , nonchalant person i ever met in my life . Keept cutting me off and i TOLD him he needed to stop cause it rude . I’m upset because i have to take time to keep calling and wasting gas to come up there because y’all haven’t fixed my vehicle . My voice is very loud as can be taking as me being loud which i inform him that multiple time because we were in a small room. My frustration was not towards him it was in general which he claim he understood . Now remember i asked to speak to the general manger not a manger , come to find out he was even the GM ! The Gm came in and demanded i leave because i was “too loud “ again my voice carries and i asked the PERSON WAS TALKING TO (the manger ) did he have a problem . He said no but he is the Gm so you have to leave . Again I came in for service . I asked before the services was done if I needed the service & was told”OK “ I get my money stolen from me no service is done and the car is still the same but I get kicked out because I’m frustrated at the fact that I feel that y’all are discriminating against me as well as stole my money . Please don’t buy from this place go to another place . I’ve filed claims against them as well as working with the local news to get this broadcasted cause it’s ridiculous. Oh ‘ let me not mention they gave me no paperwork so is my where against theirs. These people will egg you on, ignore you and make it seem like you’re the problem. They don’t know professionalism at all. They only know how to respond to outright customers by asking them to leave. But I’m gonna always stand behind my money and the services i pay for . I won’t be disrespected by establishment when im paying money services. I also would not stand for any man being disrespectful or discriminating towards a woman . if you are a woman please be safe going into this location because I promise you you would be disrespected. I see why this location always have an ad on indeed because of the high turn around . But that’s all good & handy because I would take it to the fullest extent about $106.95. News report and Civil suit on the way !

I’ve been doing Business with Southtowne Hyundai for many years. I’ve never had any problems with them and there always willing to go out of there way to make sure you’re a Satisfied Customer. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. I’m a Proud Owner of a Hyundai and I love it. I started off with Ken Spurling and ended up with his wife Diane Spurling. They are Exceptional.

High prices
Customer service was fine, they need to bring back the downstairs waiting room, provide coffee and water in exchange for what time we have to spend there and have to pay that outrageous amount of money to get the vehicle fixed. The original quote was $700 for my brakes to be machined and pads changed. The quote has the rear axle double the price of the front axle and their excuse was the system just does that we don’t know why. And then somehow or another $127 comes falling off of my quote but wasn’t going to unless I asked about it! Not going back. Trying to pull a fast one over on people is not cool.
