Stay Away
The Riverdale location don't have enough technician to do a diagnostic on your car to determine what is wrong with your car, so your car just sits there for weeks at a time. They are not willing to extend any accommodations for their own issue or lack of technicians. Therefore, the customer has to rent a car for all that time, which is so unfair. At this time, my vehicle is still sitting there until someone gets to it. This is ongoing issue for me where my car has been sitting there for three weeks as of 8/3/2024. Wow!!!!

Dave in used cars in-house finance
Do not except an offer for in house financing thru Southtowne Hyundai with Dave. Dave takes your deposit and repossess the car in 30 or 31 days. He called me a liar 3 times and talked to me in the worst manner. He have no salesman, customer service, experience. He works in a building by himself. He loans the cars out like touro for 30 days repo them and loan it out for another 30 days and take the next deposits. I would never refer no one to Hyundai used cars. Mr Perry is well known in the community for being awesome and strive to bring in everyone and make sure they drive out with a car. Mr Perry makes sure every customer is satisfied. On the other Dave is known for repo them in 31 days. I think he’s related so he can get away with it and the owner probably doesn’t get involved if they’re related .Mr Dave works in a whole building by himself.

WORST DEALERSHIP
This review is to highlight another POOR interaction with this dealership. I only provided one star in order to write a review. This location doesn't deserve any stars.
**DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!**
I have been contacting the dealership since Tuesday to request documentation to complete an adjustment on my vehicle. I had my engine replaced at this dealership in Nov. 2020. That entire experience was horrible since I was out of town when my engine failure occurred.
When I contacted the dealership this week to request documentation, I left three voicemails for Mr. Croney (service dept manager), and I have yet to receive a return call. When I contacted the service dept on Tuesday, the call was answered by Mr. Ruppe, who was the advisor for my case in 2020. He spent at least 5 minutes informing me of how my previous 1 star review effected his pay. He lectured me about the reason that a 5 star is needed. After listening to his condescending lecture, I informed him that I only needed documentation regarding the mileage that was on the new engine placed in my vehicle. He indicated that the engine that was placed in my vehicle was new, and he sent a duplicate copy of the invoice that I received when my vehicle was transported back to FL.
I then contacted the General Manager (Mr. Weldon) on 11/03/22. After being transferred to his voicemail, my call was dropped twice. On the third attempt, the operator transferred to the call to Mr. Weldon, and the call was answered but immediately disconnected. I proceeded to email Mr. Weldon on 11/03/22 with detailed information found on my invoice, and requested assistance since there was no response from the service department manager (Mr. Croney).
I finally had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Weldon (General Manager) on 11/04/22. He insisted that there is no price on a campaign engine, and denied receiving the email sent. He offered to send the call to the service department, and I made him aware that Mr. Ruppe provided a duplicate copy of the invoice that was already in my file. As a General Manager, he didn't offer any other solutions or recognize that the Mr. Croney hadn't returned the voicemails.
This is a long review, but this experience solidified the incompetence of the management at this dealership. I've only had two encounters with this dealership, and both experiences have been POOR. I truly feel sad for the customers that actually have to do business with this dealership. My dealership in FL exemplifies the true meaning of customer service, and it makes me realize that this dealership can't even meet the basic requirement of customer service. I'm not even certain that they know the definition of customer service.
Hopefully this dealership will figure out how to DO BETTER, but I highly doubt it.

Customer Service should not stop at the sales floor, but it does here.
Customer service should not stop at the purchase of a vehicle, when you purchase a vehicle the customer service should continue on through the servicing of the vehicle. At this location South Towne Hyundai where the general manager's name is Terry Weldon and the service manager name is Mr. Croney. I gave an unfavorable review on their survey when I came to visit in February of 2022 on February 2nd, I received a call from Mr. Croney asking why I gave an unfavorable review. I explained that the customer service that I received that day from his employee was unacceptable. He explained to me that the service review does not pertain to the staff themselves but it pertains to him as the manager. He asks if I could please redo my review to be more favorable and he would honor me with a free oil change. He resent the review to me I completed the review to make it more favorable. When it was time for me to come in for my oil change this month {I don't drive my cars that often) I got a call from the dealership asking me was I coming in for my appointment that was this past Saturday; and I explained to them that I was coming in but I wanted to make sure that the free oil change that Mr. Croney promised me would be on my account. The representative stated that she would have to transfer me to the service department, where they confirmed that it was not on there. I told them I wanted to cancel my appointment until I can get to speak with Mr. Croney. They transferred me to Mr. Croney’s voicemail I left him numerous messages and I even emailed him. I received no response. I called again on Monday left him another message still no response. I called again on Tuesday which is today finally got a response after threatened to speak with the general manager. Once I got a chance to speak with him he was very condescending and did not want to honor what he told me when he asked me to change my review. Then he stated that if I told you that then I will honor that and ask me to go back and make another appointment. I called back to make an appointment and they told me the next appointment would be December 3rd the second and I made it for the day and time that Mr. Croney would be there. Then Mr. Croney proceeds to call me back after I thought it was resolved and tells me that according to his general manager, he is not to honor the free oil change. I asked to speak with the general manager who name is Mr. Terry Weldon that was a mistake he was no better and he is the lead of this location now I understand why the staff is the way the staff is. After I explained to him what was told to me then he said Well how about if we just split the oil change. At this point it has nothing to do with the oil change anymore I will gladly pay it but at another location. It is about keeping your word. So please no that if you do a survey do not allow anyone to sway your decision and keep it real so that all of us can know what this location is about and go someplace else. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a dealership. Mr. Weldon and Mr. Croney I pray that you get some dignity about yourselves and learn what real customer service is about.

BEWARE STAY AWAY
YOU WILL FIND BETTER DEALS AND COUSTOMER SERVICES AT OTHER DEALSHIP. I NEW BETTER, HOWEVER, I DID NOT LEAVE. PAID $5000 OVER REGULAR COST THEY HAD A $10,000 DOLLAR MARK UP ON PRICE OF SUV. I HATE DEALSHIP THAT OVERCHARGE AND I TRIED TO TAKE IT BACK AND THEY REFUSED. A DEALER SHIP FOR LIFE TIME TOTAL BULL SHIT

OVER CHARGE ON SUV
I just purchased a new 2023 Hyundia Santa Fe and I was not able to read the finance contract because they had on a small tablit that I could not read because I never had my glasses and they put the contract on USB were you have to waite to read on computer. When I got home I pulled it up and found out I paid over $5000 dealer mark up, They charge for ever little thing. This is the worist dealership in GA. STAY AWAY GO SOME PLACE TO PURCHASE YOUR CAR, AFTER CHECKING OTHER DEALERSHIPS I COULD GOT THE HYUNDIA AT $34000 or less. They will not show you in black and white your deal is. BUYER BEWARE STAY FROM SOUTHETOWNE.

Appointment
Been trying for 3 months to get an appointment for an oil change and 80,000 mile maintenance service . They don’t answer the phone or send you to a voicemail that no one returns your call. The worst customer service. They need to close .all departments. Most of the time they deceive customers in service or sales. Once you purchase you get no help. It’s sad.

Unethical practice
I went in to get my front panoramic window fix. I was charged 170 cause they didn't have the glass. I called the manager and he assured me that he would credit the account cause they couldn't order the part. Now they'll telling me that it was only good for 30 days. It took 6 months to start ordering it. Then they wanted to over charge for the glass. Not today, they just lost a loyal customer of 8 years. Never would I purchase from Riverdale or Newnan, they're owned by the same people same practice

I am very pleased to report that all of my requests were made, and that the skid plate that was a concern, had been repaired without any additional costs. I am so glad I wasn't given a new one (my request) it turns out, it wasn't necessary. I will reach out to Eddie, my serviceman for any concerns I have going forward.
