Don't buy from them
I purchased a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy Hybrid from Sheehy Hyundai, located in Waldorf, MD. Initially, I loved my car, but after 1,000 miles, I started having problems. From July until September, my car was in the shop four times. Hyundai started the buyback process and gave me a loaner vehicle. I was told I could keep the loaner vehicle until the buyback process ended, which was a lie. Back in October, I received a call from the manager saying that a 2025 Calligraphy hit the lot, and they wanted me to purchase the vehicle, even though my buyback process had not been completed. I declined the offer because I didn't want to be responsible for paying two car payments. I received a text message from Sheehy on 01/03/25 saying that I had to return the loaner car, which left me with no vehicle to drive. After I received a text asking me to return the loaner car, I received another text message from a salesman saying that a 2025 Santa Fe was available. They wanted me to return the loaner vehicle to purchase another one. To say the least, my buyback process is still ongoing, so I’m left without a car. This entire process has been disheartening, and therefore, I'm no longer interested in purchasing another vehicle from Sheehy.

The absolute worst
When I tell you that the service department team (which includes Jervon Young and Aaron Dawson who is the manager) exhibits the worst customer service in the DMV, it is not an exaggeration to state this. I have contacted the general manager who also has done zero about the poor quality of service that are being offered to their customers. I have had this young man actually come across in such an unprofessional and inappropriate demeanor, that I contacted my attorneys about the interaction. I created a case with Hyundai regarding this; this Sheehy Hyundai of Waldorf has proven to me that they not only don’t care, but you have to make sure that they’re not getting over on you. They have basically convinced me through their interactions that Hyundai is not a brand that I will invest in going forward. I should never have to question if the products that were supplied to me (which was supposed to be a new catalytic converter) doesn’t work after putting it in my vehicle. I’ve been coming to them since July 2023 and my car is still not fixed at all! My vehicle is there currently only because my part is under warranty. They will not give me a loaner and told me that they won’t even look at my vehicle for a full week because they’re “short staffed”. It’s sad when you feel like people are being sexist towards you and nothing is done about it. I will continue to voice my concerns about the horrible treatment which has been given to me as a customer. Disgusting

Stay away from them
The worst repair experience ever. I brought the car in for repair, described the problem, then they hooked it up to their plug and play diagnostic system. They told me the problem was the throttle body, so I authorized them to repair. It was expected Friday, but come next Wednesday they told me they tried to start the car and the battery light came on (the problem I was experiencing). They wanted to replace the alternator for another $1000. I told them to stop and I will pick it up.

I got there, paid and received the old part. I jumped my car (at 11am), tried to drive it home, but was blocked by their service lane being full of parked cars (in between where they parked my car and the road). They didn't bother to clear the way, and my car engine cutoff.

I immediately called the tow truck. They immediately started harassing me to get my car out of the way. They then called the police, who pushed me out of the parking lot (the service lane was clear by the time the police arrived). The police told me to have a good day then left. 10 minutes later my tow truck arrived, who hooked me up. Meanwhile, about 4 customers who saw the whole thing walked out, got in their cars and left. I got towed home.

Excellent Service
My Service Advisor,Jervon made sure he provided me with updates on my car as much as possible and he very quickly found me a loaner while I waited on my car to get fixed. If you go there for any kind of service on your car I definitely recommend going to him.

Untrustworthy Service
Over the past few months, I've had nothing but horrible experiences with the Service Department. My car sat in their service center for 2 months awaiting parts and repairs. I have the Platinum Hyundai Vehicle Service Contract that was purchased at Sheehy Hyundai. I had to email two managers to get some movement on my repairs. Needless to say, when I got my car back, the brake issue I brought it in for was not resolved. I ask if they did any quality control/checks or even test drove the car before turning it over to me. Also, they must had left my driver's side window down the whole time the car sat outside because it was full of leaves and debris from the tree it sat under. I took pictures and documented every issue with the car then sent an email to the Service and Head Manager. The Service Manager responded so I took the car back to them to repair the issue. I was promised the issues I listed in my email would be fixed and they will do a full detail of my car. I dropped the car off on a Thursday morning. Every evening after work, I drove to the dealership and stood next to where my car was parked. The car was detailed that Thursday. The car sat in the same parking space, front wheels slightly turned to the right, rear passenger tire on the white stripe with all 4 doors unlocked for 10 days. I called the following Wednesday to inquire on the status of my car. They said the part just came in and I will have my car back by Friday or the latest the following Monday. So I kept driving by the dealership every day and noticed that my car never moved from that same parking spot... Doors still unlocked. I got a call that my car was ready. I asked if anyone test drove it to ensure everything was fixed. I was told they weren't sure. I go to pickup my car. I would say that 9 times out of 10, the repaired cars are left in the back/side of the service department. A different service advisor went in that direction to get my car. When he could not find it, he then looked in their overflow lot. Guess what, my car was still in the same parking spot they left it in when I first dropped it off. SO WHEN DID MY CAR GET REPAIRED??? I still have the same spongy brake issue I originally brought it in for at the end of February. As a customer, what would you do?

Oil change
Buyer beware went to get oil change and see why the fluid was not coming out to clean windshield shield waited 3+ hours. And NOTHING was done the intake rep told me oh yeah it was just low on fluids they replaced it and it now work. Well when I checked in his presence the fluid did not come out and no fluid in the reservoir. He out right LIED. He then added the fluid and it still did not work, my truck still showed oil change minus which might have not been reset after change. Had to go back Friday 6/23 another 3+ hours to get the fluid issue fixed. Got home husband checked to see if they really changed oil, only to find out it is BLACK. Two day and 6+ hours and not have the basic oil change is not acceptable

Theives!
If I own one of the hyundias that is popular to be stolen why would hyundia have a anti theft kit for 170.00 and charge 480.00 in labor for a total of 650.00. I have been a hyundia owner since 1997 never, never have I been more sickened by hyundia reaction to your customers hardships. You are no better than the people stealing the cars. I will never buy another hyundia and tell any and everybody I see with a hyundia. SHAME ON YOU! SHAME

Excessive wait times even with appointments
Each time I've been here there's been a long wait time. During my last visit I was told to make an appointment-that scheduled appointments were guaranteed two and a half hour wait times. My appointment today was 12:15-it is now 4:02 and I am still in the service waiting room. I've seen multiple people arrive after me & leave before me. I've gone to other Sheehy dealership locations however the Waldorf location hands down remains to be the least professional with the worst service department.

A complete and utter mess.
The service department is run by a bunch of morons.
Their management doesn't care, their employees openly complain to customers, just a disastrous mess.

Go elsewhere, stat.
You will just get angry at the ineptness.
