My 2017 BMW X1 had a sheared cam cover bolt, causing total engine failure at 57,000 miles. All scheduled maintenance was completed on the vehicle and BMW still refused to cover any costs. Schomp charged me over $1000 just to diagnose and then wanted $24,000 for a new engine. That is more than the car is worth, so I had a tow truck pick up the car, and Schomp was going to reassemble the inoperable engine so they could charge me even more. BMW does not stand by their products and Schomp is price gouging their customers.
