We ordered 6 pallets of centipede grass that was delivered on Sept. 19th. Before the purchase I was in contact with Madison because a mutual friend did business with her. She seemed nice in Facebook messenger chats. To actually get ahold of Madison to order or talk to her at the business, it was common to have to wait until 9am one day and ten am another day, even though the company opens at 7. No big deal, just inconvenient.
On the day of delivery we were just trying to get the sod down as quick as possible when I noticed torpedo grass in sections. As it was delivered in the afternoon, I just pulled what I could to get the rest down before nightfall.
Within days, I saw more torpedo grass in addition to crab grass and other weeds that were previously NOT in my yard.
I called Madison back and at the first hint that something was wrong she informed me that I needed to talk to Bruce. I asked what is the normal process that Bruce usually recommeded since he was out of the office so I could get an idea. She said she didn't know. Sorry... That seemed a bit odd since her last name is Rountree... She seemed very intent on being done with me. I called Bruce later and he said that his farms doesn't have torpedo because they spray (hahaha) anyone that has dealt with torpedo grass will tell you that it is practically impossible to iradicate once you have roots. Bruce said it must come from my yard. I told him that the torpedo grass that I have pulled has new roots on the torpedo grass and that the roots didn't come from the ground and I have pictures. The best he could do was see if the farmer would give me some sod pieces. So... After spending over $1400 for centipede sod that was infested with torpedo grass he can do.... Nothing.
They aren't bbb accredited so any bad report does nothing to them.
Don't waste your money with this company because TRUST ME, once they have it, they don't care.
Oh and the farmer never gave me more pieces.....
WILL NEVER do business with them again and will make sure my word of mouth goes far and wide.

Bruce could not care less about you after he has your money
I have contacted Bruce numerous times since installation of their crab grass. I have sent him pictures of the dead spots where I told him they had sent us crab grass yet he doesn't care. I've offered reasonable solution of delivering a single pallet at his expense as the four he previously delivered were laden with crab grass. He did not respond. This has been going on for about 6 months now. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this guy and company.

Horrible Sod
Purchase four pallets of sod, I only had it for about three weeks and it begins to die and I tried everything possible. This is such a waste of time and money.

worst sod I have ever seen delivered
For the Philips Hwy Rountree Sod Service Location:
worst sod I have ever seen in over 26 years plus as a real estate broker. I provided pictures to Rountree from whom it was purchased and he said it didn't matter, it will come back. I said, it was so poor as seen in the pictures, it should have never been delivered. He refused any compensation. Terrible sod and customer service from what I experienced. I wish I could attach pictures to this review. Sod was delivered 6:30 PM Friday and the following morning started putting it down by 9 AM Saturday; only on the pallet on property overnight. Terrible experience after working so hard on soil prep.

Roundtree cheats their customers
Roundtree sod sold me 3 pallets of sod that were short 100 square feet each. I brought this to their attention and was informed by the owner Bruce if I wanted the rest of the sod I had already paid for I would have to purchase it from them and if I didn't like that I could buy my sod from somewhere else next time. Roundtree sod and its owner Bruce are knowingly cheating their customers I urge you to buy your sod from another company to avoid being cheated the way I was.

Unprofessional, rude, liars!
Had a horrible experience. The lady at the front lied, treated my wife like dirt after worsening an issues we already had by being rude instead of trying to solve the problem. No respect for the customer or their time. says shes going to do something and doesn't. 0 stars!
