Rick and his Team provided another great service. My Tacoma was well past the recommended service mileage and I couldn’t ignore it any longer. I went in prepared to pay a huge bill and get bad news. I didn’t get either. The turnaround time was short, the cost was more than reasonable, and the transmission was still good. They followed manufacturer guidelines and had me on the road in record time. Ricks Automotive and Custom Exhaust is one of the few places remaining in Dothan where you can trust them to not up-sale you with needless and unnecessary work. They may not tell you what you want to hear, but it will be the truth you need to hear. You can trust them.

They have done great work on my car and trucks for years it just not one time review they have been working on my stuff for years and this is the shop of my choice and I recommend it to everyone. Not saying other shop are not good or great but this shop is my choice.and I think you will be very pleased also

Happy Customer
Staff was professional and expedient. They fixed multiple problems with the exhaust system on my Silverado pickup, plus repaired check engine problem. The down time was minimal, and the price was reasonable. I will definitely recommend Rick's Automotive and Custom Exhaust to friends and relatives.

Bad attitude.
I've used Rick's at least a half a dozen different times for auto repairs and exhaust work. I had always been satisfied with their service until my last experience. I had taken my new truck to have them put a Magnaflow muffler on it. When I got back home and got under the truck to take a look I wasn't satisfied at all. The exhaust inlets on the muffler were considerably larger than my exhaust pipes. So they cut of the exhaust pipes, stuck them in the exhaust inlets, and just welded up the difference. Also the exhaust pipes didn't line up with the new muffler, so they bent one of the pipes, putting a kink in it, to match up with the inlet. As i stated, it is a new truck, and I expected a more custom looking job, not something jacked-up looking. If I had known they were going to do this in the first place, I would not have gone through with the work. I explained this to one of the employees over the phone and he told me to bring it back and he would make it right. So I took the truck back. While the employee I had spoken to was attempting to fix the previous job, Rick came out and said to me "I've done a lot of these, and no one has ever complained except for you, so I guess all I can tell you is if you don't like it, to get your exhaust work done somewhere else. I simply said 'OK". Extremely unprofessional display of attitude. The previous day I had just paid them $1100 for repairs on my wife's vehicle! Meanwhile the other employee was able to remove the kinked exhaust pipe but the difference in the muffler inlet and exhaust pipe is still just a considerable amount of welding. I dislike having to do this, but the kind of attitude Rick displayed is unacceptable. ALL my work will be going elsewhere in the future.

Great service!
A co-worker recommended Ricks to me for auto repair. They've done work for me several times. They do very good work, they're honest and up front about the price and you can make appointments or just walk in. I've had repairs, maintenance and custom exhaust work done there and have been very satisfied with the work and results. I highly recommend them. Good guys.

Outstanding service
Rick's installed dual exhaust on my Toyota Tundra. Dwight listened closely to my desired outcome and made the appropriate recommendations. He installed the system himself with great care and awesome results. I highly recommend Rick's for custom exhaust and any other auto service needs.
