Founded in 1970 by the Reverend Kinzy Reed, Reed’s Exxon began operation as a gas station/convenience store and automobile service center. Reverend Reed ran the business with the help of his family until 1980 when he went into full-time ministry. Reed’s Exxon’s youngest employee when the business opened was the Reed’s 10-year-old son, Founded in 1970 by the Reverend Kinzy Reed, Reed’s Exxon began operation as a gas station/convenience store and automobile service center. Reverend Reed ran the business with the help of his family until 1980 when he went into full-time ministry. Reed’s Exxon’s youngest employee when the business opened was the Reed’s 10-year-old son, Dale. Dale swept the floors and straightened up the pop bottles. After several years, taught by his father and uncle, Denzle Reed, Dale learned the ins and outs of the tire industry. Also during that time, James McAlister, the lead mechanic at Reed’s Exxon mentored him. He was a fast study and soon was acquainted with all aspects of the business.

When Reverend Reed left the business in 1980, a 20-year-old Dale became a partner in the business with another uncle, Truman Reed. The business was renamed Reed’s Tire Service Center. Dale took over as the sole owner and operator of the business in 1986. In 2002, Reed’s Tire Service Center was incorporated as Reed’s Tire Center #1, Inc. On July 1st, 2018, the business again took another turn. Roy Reed and Mike and Stacy Mason took over the helm. Stacy has been a fixture at Reed’s Tire Center for many years and Roy has been the shop foreman for a number of years. In April of 2018, Stacy’s husband, Mike (a master mechanic,) joined the crew.

Reed’s Tire Center will celebrate their 50th year in business this year. They stock the largest tire inventory in Page County and strive to maintain quick and reliable service. For tire experience unmatched in the Page County area, don’t buy your tires until you talk to Stacy, Mike or Roy first. Reed’s Tire Center sells Michelin, Firestone, Titan and BKT agricultural tires. They provide road service and on-site farm tire replacement and repair. Not only do they specialize in passenger and light truck tires, Reed’s Tire Center stocks and sells medium and large commercial tires. Other specialties include the latest technology in wheel alignment, custom exhaust and motor and transmission R&R.
