Beware of the Groupon Alignment Scam

The man that works at the front counter seems nice, but he is a scammer. First, he tried to upsell on a "camber kit", saying it would cost $150 additionally. I declined this service. He then told me it would take 1-1/2 additional hours to finish the alignment after I had already waited for 1 hour. I decided to walk back to the shop 15 minutes after that conversation and I realized the car was already parked in the front and was ready, which was strange because I was told it would take more than an hour longer. As I was checking out I noticed there was not before/after specification sheet attached to the invoice. I asked why there was no spec sheet and he said "the printer was broken". I asked if he could just take a picture of the record with a phone and send it to me. He then told me he would try and went to the back, at this point he didn't realize I was watching everything he was doing and I could see him using the alignment screen and saw him going through previous alignment records for about 5 minutes. I thought he would simply take a picture of a record but he seemingly kept going through records. When he came back he told me "the machine doesn't let me get the record", which I thought was strange since I saw him going through several records for 5 minutes. I was surprised at his response, and I realized he was being very shifty and seemed nervous. I had a feeling that the alignment was not performed at that point, and I asked if he could email me the record later, he took my email address and agreed. I had a gut feeling he was just saying that to get me out of the shop. I drove the car and it still drove exactly the same with a slight pull to the left. The next day I checked the front tie rods to see if they had been adjusted as I marked the bolts before the alignment to see how much they would be adjusted. I found that the bolts were in the exact location that I had left them, the automotive paint was still intact unbroken making a bridge between the tie rods and bolts the same way I had left it. I then knew for sure no adjustment was made to the car, and of course the front desk guy never emailed me any records or called to follow-up, it's been almost 1 week now. Be careful of these guys, if you decline their upsell be prepared to not get an alignment done as retaliation.
