Unprofessional
After spending several hours at Platinum Hyundai, we were unable to agree on a sale price for a new vehicle. We were off by $250, so I walked. A couple hours later, I changed my mind and called the sales person back to do the deal only to be told his Sales Manager, Mario, said the offer was no longer good and they wanted several thousand dollars more for the vehicle than we discussed. It's their vehicle and they can do what they want, but it's just plain poor business practice and greed on their part. They're already charging a significant dealer markup and then Mario decided to not honor his offer. I’ve dealt with people on Craigslist who were more professional than Mario. Needless to say, they lost a customer for life and you can bet none of my friends or family will purchase from Platinum in the future.

However, our salesman, Dylan, was a pleasure to work with.

Good, but basic maintenance visits could use improvement
Great experience overall with Hyundai. Recommend to friends and plan to upgrade my Sonata to the new model or possibly to a Genesis badge sometime in the near future. However, basic service such as an oil change will expose you upsell games. This is normal everywhere, but it does get annoying when all you want is an easy in and out oil change with a free inspection for future service. Instead, you will get upsell "Package" service recommendations starting out at a ludicrous amount so they can dial back to a price point more palatable. Good tactic...but erodes your trust, especially when the phrases like "Multi Clean Max" and "Premium Engine Treatment" are only vaguely explained. Still recommend Hyundai...but now that the car is old and warranty is long expired...might be getting to know what it's like to go to Jiffy Lube again for my oil changes.
