I don’t live in town, but come often and keep a car up there that I use while in town. The car started having issues, so I did a bit of research, and Pioneer Automotive was recommended both online and by everyone I asked, so I took it there. They were friendly, competent, and very upfront about everything,. They told me ahead of time what the diagnostic fee would be, which was significantly lower than a couple other places in town. Unfortunately my car had a lot of bad indicators and some things they couldn’t even get into without a lot more time and expense. Rather than just trying to push me to do a bunch of work on the car, they were honest with me about the situation—that the repairs would probably be very expensive, and the money I’d have to put in to fix the car probably wouldn’t end up being worth it in the end, and that they didn’t recommend I proceed with it. Then they didn’t even charge the diagnostic fee since they weren’t able to get very far with it. I felt like they were being totally honest with me and not in any way trying to take advantage of the situation. They were so helpful and great at communicating too. I will go back to them every time now, and would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!
