Thank you for coming in for your Groupon Wheel Alignment.I have reached out to you by phone to discuss your experience. The service writer used the name that was in the schedule which was written down wrong. You never corrected him so he used the wrong name throughout the whole process. We do inform the customer that the service takes 1.5 to 2hrs.It just depends on the vehicle to how long it takes. When we told you how long it would take you left to get breakfast while we were performing the service. We have been in business for over 52 years and we have always provided a basic inspection on any vehice that we work on. We have been doing digital inspections for about 15 years. When they finished the inspection and service you were shown the inspection with pictures which displayed your alignment readings and what they did or did not find on the basic inspection. A reciept was also provided. He was not able to send the inspection to you at that time. We had changed our whole program for inspections(ect) 2 days earlier and there were some glitches making the process take longer than normal. I do apologize for that.I did send you the inspection a few days later when we got the program working correctly. The readings for your battery test were no good. The battery voltage was 12.51 but the cranking amps were only 587 and they should have been 750. We informed you of that and other items that needed attention on your vehicle. We did not give you any prices on any of the items found. It is an inspection so you know the condition of your vehicle. We only give prices if you ask for them.We were only informing you. We were not trying to waste your time. If you feel comfortable with a battery that failed the cranking amps portion of the test that is your decision. Costco should have exchanged it for you for free no questions asked with the picture of the test performed.I do appreciate your feed back. I have talked to the staff about your experience.Thank you for letting us align your Mazda.
The alignment took close to two hours which is longer than expected for a basic service and there was not much communication during that time. While I was waiting, another customer came in saying his recent alignment still had his car pulling to the left, which added to my concerns. They also did a full multi point inspection which I did not ask for or mentioned being done verbally or within the Groupon. I understand shops do this to find additional issues but I was told my battery was bad even though I had just bought it brand new from Costco two weeks ago.
To be sure I went back to Costco and had them test it side by side with a new one and it came back perfectly fine with the same readings. That made the recommendation feel off and ended up wasting more of my time.
The shop also seemed disorganized. I was told I would get a receipt or service breakdown all I got was two text messages one for a review ( in which I’m writing( and one to be opted in or out of messaging. Still days later I still have nothing so I do not even know exactly what was done to my car.
On top of that I was called Jay multiple times instead of my actual name Jeremy which what is stated clearly on the Groupon and when I gave my email to the gentleman, my first and last name is within it so this just added to the overall experience.
Because of all this I ended up contacting Groupon and canceling any additional services I had purchased. I hope they improve communication, organization and accuracy going forward.
Jeremy. ( Not Jay)
