Great service, kind and honest people
Jose was straight forward and quick to help with giving me a quote for my service. When i got there, i came later than expected, but he still took my car in and worked on it efficiently and carefully! He was very kind and honest about pricing as well, which is hard to find these days!

Honest mechanic - glad I found him!
I had my vehicle in for a major repair and Jose walked me through the entire process in a straightforward way. Never shady about pricing - was great about keeping me in the loop and really did a lot to get my car working again. Happy with the service and an planning on returning for future car issues as they come.

Disappointed.
I was a firm believer that this shop was the greatest. I also thought that Jose and his staff were honest and legitimate. Jose has a way of finessing you by telling you what’s wrong and what needs to be fixed. Fool me once; it’s not gonna happen again. I gave him my daughter’s Nissan because he said it needed a transmission or something else that wouldn’t pass the smog. So I paid him $2000 to fix the Nissan. I paid him, then I let him have the car at the end because he said it would need a new transmission, so I gave it to him and did not charge him.
Then I took my daughter’s car. It’s a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle. I dropped over $7000 on this car. I told him what was wrong with the car. I had an accident a year and a half ago: two broken legs, two broken hands, a shoulder sternum, and so on. I know about cars and can fix them, but I was broken. I believe he took advantage of that. That’s why I told him what was wrong with the car. That’s why I went to him; I trusted him. I could’ve done all of this. And when I told him. What was wrong with the vehicle? He would fix the stated issue and damage other parts, but something else would be damaged. So, constantly taking this car back and forth, maybe six times, to get it right. So, I decided not to continue doing business with him. I had to take my daughter‘s car and pay $4000 to get the stuff they broke and damaged fixed. I have pictures and videos that I could not upload here. because I had to take the car to Volkswagen, the dealer. My daughter was driving around without brake lights, and her car horn was off. I told him several times that my daughter‘s horn was not working. And I believe that when they checked it, it broke because He said I did not need to replace it. Then the horn stopped working. He took the whole thing apart to fix the vent system in the AC system. But we’re still having problems with that. At the same time, he was working on my wife’s truck, a 2002 Chevy 1500 Avalanche. He replaced a lot of things on this truck. But the biggest of all is the cracked dash of the car. They didn’t take responsibility for that. And I didn’t wanna get a big deal about it; then we put a brand new engine into the car brand New. Now, the car sputters when it’s idle; it starts to wanna shut off, so I have to turn off the car again and then turn it on again. I also told him that the steering column needed replacement. And sure enough. I have to take it to Chevy and let the professionals fix it. I got a quote from them for the engine diagnosis. Plus, diagnosing the steering column was $300 to diagnose and replace; after that, the bill totaled over 3k. My daughter‘s car is missing a lug nut in every tire. My daughter‘s car is now at the dealer and is still getting fixed. I needed the 90,000 miles.
The belt wasn’t good. I told him. Now I wonder if he did all of that. I have Videos and proof; see them for yourself. Many of us go to mom-and-pop shops to help and give them our business. I have learned now to take it to the dealer. Another of his staff, including himself, had their hands dirty, and that’s how they touched the car and the seats. They felt everything in my daughter’s car and my wife’s car had grease stains everywhere on the steering wheel on the dash. I told him about it, and his answer was what do you expect? The sensor was what you expected, or the mechanics left it off. As people, they are amazing. They finesse you well, oh, but there’s always a sucker born every day. So I guess I’m the sucker that dropped $30,000 plus,. And now it looks like I’m paying another 20,000 to take it to the dealer for both cars. I thought he was my family Mechanic, but I was wrong.
I firmly believe that expressing dissatisfaction is not just important—it’s essential. If you don’t voice your concerns, the issues will continue unaddressed. Speaking up is the crucial first step toward initiating the dialogue necessary for improvement. I feel completely scammed. I urge you to reconsider taking your car to Jose Orange Empire or any local mechanic that goes to the dealer instead. If I had taken my car to the dealer for $30,000, we would have driven out with brand-new vehicles. I have two daughters in active military service, and my youngest is pursuing her bachelor's degree at Cal State Fullerton. Our family is quite large, and I was ready to recommend this mechanic to my entire family, but I've now wholly retracted that suggestion.

Transmission work
The service here is excellent. Jose is well qualified to determine what needs attention, be it a minor adjustment, or something more challenging requiring analysis. You will also find the work done quickly, with expertise, and at a better price than elsewhere. Why go anywhere else?
