Who knows if we purchased a car but they sure took our money
While I am not a lawyer I have had cause to deal with them in the past. This dealer entered into a contract with my son and wife. This dealership accepted my son’s money and delivered a car (both parties have received consideration to the terms of the contract). The dealership presented what they claimed to be a completed loan contract twice and now refuses to return calls or clarify the situation. I have purchased several cars over the years and never have I had anything this shady and apparently dishonest happen. At this point I am forced to take action on behalf of my wife and to a lesser extent my son. So my first step is to let everyone know what kind of business Norman Hyundai runs by public review, contact in your corner, contact Hyundai themselves, and possibly speak to an attorney. The situation as it currently sits is unacceptable and causing my wife unnecessary stress.

Customer Service Stopped As Soon As The Transaction Completed
Sold me a car without tag lights. No light casing, harness, pigtails, nothing but holes in the metal. I got pulled over. Service tech and sales manager is acting all put out and like I'm unreasonable for wanting it fixed now and rental while they do it.

Great day at the car dealer!
So..I'm 62 and have bought more than a few cars in my days. I found a vehicle on their website that seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. Contacted Jone who put me in touch with Isaiha, the sales guy. Was happy he had the car in front when we got there. Every thing was exactly as told. The car was used..2019..but certainly a full blown pro' detail..no white-washing! Looks brand new..and I saw no "junk" on there lot. Isaiah was great..no pressure and very courteous to my wife and I. Got with Chad and after throwing a few numbers around they bought my trade for a fair price and I bought a 2019 Ford Edge Titanium for the advertised price..which was inside of KBB and Carfax estimates..and Finance had me in and out quick. So..not alot of high pressure or gimmicks..good people..overall a good, low stress purchase..would certainly give them a look if you are buying new or used. Good inventory. ?

Vehicle Purchase
****DO NOT SHOP HERE***
First of all they don't honor the price listed online. I was speaking with someone over the phone trying to make this process easier since I was willing to drive 3.5hrs to make the purchase. The salesperson said that price the bank and all sites show is only if you finance through them or have a trade in. Yet that is not listed on any website, not even in fine print i checked!!! Which is false advertisement and misleading. I already had a preapproval from my bank for said listed price. The payment #'s she gave me add up to an extra $5400. I did my own calculations based on what little information she did provide which was new price and doc fee. Then when asked what additional fees are or itemized breakdown was told id have to agree to the new price in order to proceed. I refuse to pay an extra $1149 when it was listed for less. Bad experience overall. I wasted my time and got a hard inqury for nothing.

Fast, efficient and respectful
A friendly advisor met me, who discussed my needs and started my service quickly. The waiting area at this dealership is top of the line with clean facilities, coffee, and snacks. My service and security system upgrade was completed in a short time. The advisor discussed a repair that was needed but was not pushy or demanding. The service department here has always been friendly and helpful.

Bait and switch
Take your business elsewhere. They advertised one price, told me we had a deal when I agreed to pay their advertised asking price, and then would only quote the price in "out the door terms". When I got a price breakdown from the business office, they had increased the purchase price above what was advertised. I called asking for an explanation and got a sob story about how much money they were losing on the deal. When asked if they would honor their advertised price, they said they would not. Be careful!

No title, no paperwork
I purchased a used 2004 Chevy truck in March of 2022. I did not receive any paperwork after 30 days so I went back to the dealership and was told that due to COVID-19 everything was behind. They gave me another paper tag. I continued to go back to the dealership every month and was told that the paperwork is just behind and they gave me another paper tag. I continued to go back every month to get another paper tag because I have never received any paperwork. I went back the last time in January 2023 and was told that I will not be getting another paper tag for this vehicle that I have been driving for almost a year because this vehicle was sold as a parts truck only? How could it be a parts truck only if I have been driving it for almost a year. I think that they just added that to the paperwork afterwards. Garrett the assistant manager did it. He was to fast to get an answer that no body else could get for the last ten months. Don't go to automax for a vehicle. They lie.

Can’t even answer phones
The deals may be automatic but the service is better get used to waiting. On hold for over 30 minutes. Tried calling directly and no answer. Called again and they said their phone lines are acting up. A manager assured he would have me transferred in 30 seconds as he was walking my info over to hand deliver to service. Guess what? I waited for 5 more minutes and still nothing. The solution they provide? Keep calling back and we will keep trying to transfer you. This was my first and very much last time ever buying a new car from automax. Even from the beginning of buying it, service has been that they don’t care once they have their money. All I wanted was a flat repair. Could have gone to Walmart and had it done in less time.

Typical Dealership Shenanigans
I came here with low coolant, a leaking oil valve, and a display error message and check engine light that no simple look over could solve. The mechanics were friendly enough, but I ended up paying almost $400 just for them to refill the coolant and fix the valve and not the computer issues, which were the main reasons I took my car here. Then when I tried to talk to the guy in charge of my car, he had already gone home for the day. Tomorrow when I called, he was unaware the computer was still having issues as if he didn’t even check if it was fixed at all. Told me I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery to restart the car, or take it back in (just so they can try and charge me another $400 for looking at it) and a week or so later, my car is revving up pretty hard just like it was before I took it in. Like nothing really got fixed at all. Not the worst experience I’ve ever had but these guys charge a lot of money for not very good service. Would not recommend to anyone else.

My first dream car was a tuscon, Sonja made it happen. I got totaled on the highway and she got me into a vehicle quickly and they helped me with a loaner. And now I’m buying the sante fe, my new dream car! Sonja is so amazing, I will never go to anyone but her! Our whole family loves her!
