Ryan McDonald at Mission Auto KC

Thank you to Ryan and the Mission Auto KC team! Took my wife 2019 Kia Sorento in for an oil change, and the experience with shop foreman Ryan MacDonald was 5- star! I can tell that Ryan truly has a passion for his job and more importantly customer service! I felt like a valued customer! He went above and beyond, and took the time to explain how to keep our over 100k vehicle maintained. If you are looking for a mechanic shop- go to Mission Auto KC, ask for Ryan McDonald!

Ryan McDonald at Mission Auto!

My wife and I thought our cars to Ryan McDonald for an oil change and filter change's. Our experience was great! The mechanic Ryan was very professional and efficient with the work that was needed. He was very informative and knowledgeable about cars in general and overall maintenance! I can tell that Ryan values customer satisfaction and making sure the service work is done correctly. I know choosing a trustworthy mechanical shop can be scary. I made the drive from Wellsville, KS to Mission Auto because of the value. I highly recommend! Ask for Ryan McDonald!

5 Star Ryan McDonald

Another great experience at Mission Auto KC! Mechanic Ryan McDonald did an oil change and cabin/ engine filter change on my wife and I car! From the time I got there until I left the experience was great! Ryan was professional and very
Efficient. I can tell that he values customer satisfaction and making sure things are done correctly and more importantly providing informative information to help maintain our cars moving forward.I know choosing a trusted mechanical shop can be scary, let Ryan McDonald and the team at Mission Auto KC take care of your car needs, they will not disappoint!

Just don't go there

Was out of town two and a half hours away from home, single mom and daughter on a softball trip. My alternator went out the first day there. I took it to this shop and the estimate came back to change my alternator and battery (My battery didn't need changed) and the estimate I got back was almost $1,900.00Yeah you read that right $1,900.00 (TF??) The estimate included pulling /tilting my engine to change the alternator. Absolutely not necessary.! WOW And 1 hours worth of labor after charging me a brand new battery that I didn't need. Miscellaneous 'shop fees'included. I paid them $122 diagnosis fee and I opted to trailer my car home and get a rental car. I bought my own alternator and supplied it to my local mechanic. And my total bill was $340 for labor. I absolutely would NOT go back there ever again. And just in case people are wondering it's a 2017 GMC Acadia Denali. Maybe there is a model of this car that requires hoisting the engine up to get to the alternator but this 100% certainly isn't one of them lol. Worst case scenario is that they purposely were trying to rip me off because my situation or after having my car for a full day and supposedly diagnosing it, they still thought you had to pull my engine to get to the alternator (which is easily visible even for me) and they have no clue what they're doing. Either way, I would avoid this place at all costs!!!!!!!!And I was told it was the OWNER doing the work on my car. UNBELIEVABLE!

Rude, lied to me about work progress broke parts

I made an appointment the 5th of October to have my car repaired. I brought it in the 24th of October. The 1st of November no work had been done on a 4 hour repair.
When I asked about how long the repairs would take he said,” it will be done when I get it done. If I didn’t like it he was going to put it on a tow truck and send it to my home”.
I have rack and pinion steering and he attempted to steer my car without the power steering operating . (He should have started the car). He broke the u joint and didn’t replace it or give me the u joint he had gotten. He was going to charge me for a part he broke.
He had two mechanics quit working for him. Wonder why?
I would not recommend Mission auto Kc repair to anyone. Rude , they lie about repairs being done and are sloppy workers. Go elsewhere. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, as well as the AG.

Good diagnostic shop

I’ve been going to Mission Auto for several years. Good diagnostic shop that gets it done right the first time. Took care of me on a warranty repair recently that the part was defective. I was back on the road the next day.

Trustworthy repair shop

I didn’t realize how rough my engine was running until they pointed out to me what was wrong. They fixed the problems and my engine was running smooth. I went in for an oil change and after their inspection and repairs, I feel like I have a new car!

Vehicle Repair

Started using this shop back in 2004 after it was recommended by a local NAPA store. Solid experiences until the former owner and son apparently had a falling out and the son left. A new Service Manager was brought in and the customer service began declining. After the Service Manager moved on it looked like things might have started improving until the former owner sold the business to the current owner. Since then I’ve encountered a decline in customer service, and upselling of nonessential services.
This will be my last time using this shop.

Go ELSEWHERE!

I contacted this business last week because I need 2 hoses replaced on my car. The person on the phone suggested I stop by and he would confirm which hoses needed replacement. I came to the business and he came outside and looked under the hood and determined which ones they were. I offered my credit card number if they needed to order the parts in, but he declined. Made an appointment for 5 days later. Went in expecting them to have the parts and be ready to fix it. Instead, I was told that the guy that examined my car doesn't work there. He is the father of the receptionist. She was extremely unprofessional. Should NOT be allowed contact with customers. Apparently, they do not ever pre-order parts. Everything I had been told up to this point had been a lie. She told me to take my business elsewhere when I told her how unhappy I am with this situation. To say the least, I will never send business their way again!

Well Art, I'm sorry to hear this. But I think the only unprofessional person here is you. It seems you have forgotten to mention the fact that you were screaming profanities at my WIFE. She, the person to whom you call the receptionist, is half owner in this business. She has every right to tell you to find somewhere else to go. I hope you felt better after screaming at my 5' wife. It was probably a good thing I was not here when it happened.
