on my last visit to Mikes Tire I was there to have a complete tune-up done including the water pump and belt(s) changed, at their suggestion mind you. On my previous visit to the most recent one is when it was discussed between me and 2 of the employees there that it was time for me to have this work done on my car due to the high mileage...they tell me to call in at least 2 or 3 business days before hand to let them know I will be in so they can make sure they have parts and that the mechanic doing the work will have enough time to get it all done. So I call the 3 days ahead like I was told and they tell me no problem and to come in between 9 & 10am (no set appointment time) which I did, I arrived at 9:30am. when I got there the man that waited on me was very short and rude with me and acted like I had a set appointment and I told him that I did not and that I was told to arrive between 9 & 10. the other gentleman working was discussing it with the one that was rude to me trying to determine if they would have time to do the work, this irritated me further since I was there during the hour time span they told me to be there. they go ahead and do the work and an hour later my car is ready, they tell me the price and at the time I question what work was done and then explain that I was told by them per their suggestion that I have the tune-up done including the pump and belts replaced. he tells me at that time that no they did not have that scheduled for me and had no idea that work needed done. so again I say that it was your suggestion that it all be done at the same time and that is what I was expecting...he then rudely says "well that's a 6 or 7 hr job". discussion is exchanged that I would have to pay for labor twice now if I want that work done at a later time...by now I am very upset and ready to just pay and get out of there.
Generally I am very pleased with Mikes Tire and the work they do and their employees and have been in many many times for oil changes and other work. I will however be back in the future simply because I know they will do a good job for me and I am giving the benefit of the doubt that the rude attitude toward me may have not been directed at me at all, I understand we all have bad days and busy days. However though, I will not have the water pump and belt(s) replaced here because of the previous situation. I will take that business from myself elsewhere.
