Takes no accountability for damaging customer vehicles
My vehicle was taken to McGrath City Hyundai for a recommended service of transmission flush. Immediately after the service was completed I started experiencing decrease in acceptation, stalling while in drive like I'm driving in the wrong gear, revving up of the engine while driving. I contacted McGrath City Hyundai to tell them of the vehicle I'm experiencing with my vehicle and was told I need to give it time for the guild to work through the system. Move forward 3wks later the problem are worsening. One day pulling out of my garage I noticed build on my garage floor. I immediately drove my vehicle to a hyundai dealership closest to my home and learned that the transmission service that was completed by McGrath, they over filled the transmission and there was transmission fluid over all part under the hood. Even though the vehicle is equipped with a mechanism to handle the overflow, it was too much for thus mechanism to handle. It was suggested to keep from paying for this repair again that I have it towed back to McGrath who performed the service. I called McGrath City Hyundai to tell them about thus issue and after being put on hold for 40+mins, the customer service girl came on the line to tell me they can't get my vehicle in for 2+months which would be in January 2024. I told her this was not acceptable seeing that my vehicle is unsafe to drive. I then called Hyubdai Corporate to file a complaint. Rhe assigned agent stared it's their process to contact McGrath by phone and email to discuss the problem and a resolution. After 3wks of Corporate trying to reach McGrath, they never responded. I pushed and pushed for something to be done, but nothing was. Finally the dealership that had my vehicle for over 3wks showed some compassion and made an offer to fixed the vehicle and not charge me for the labor, only fir the parts. This was a $700 job. I'm still having issues and have taken my vehicle back several times to diagnos the issue. They were not able to duplicate the issues when i took it in. McGrath has damaged my transmission and engine and has not taken accountability. I will take whatever steps necessary to make sure that I receive a satisfactory resolution for me regarding my vehicle. This was my 3rd hyundai vehicle I've purchased, but after this experience I
will never purchase another. I understand why consumers are moving toward Toyota and Nissan. Hyundai customer service from McGrath and Corporate is terrible. For the amount of money consumers pay for these vehicles, Hyundai Corporate needs to be more considerate of the consumers issues and concerns and hold these independent dealerships that represent Hyundai accountable for their mistakes.

Not once tried to make it right
Do not bring your car here, unless you want more problems. I have never experienced treatment or lack there of at any company before. Let alone someone who has your vehicle and mode of transportation. After calling countless times for 4+ days not one person would tell us the status of our vehicle that was here over 30 days. Left several Voicemails for Rome (service advisor), Ed (service mgr), Tim (service director) and Christine. Not one of these people has called me back still to this day. This is an ongoing problem. We were told our service advisor was on vacation, lunch, busy etc. completely avoided, lied to, disregarded by numerous people from service to sales. One person talked to me at McGrath Honda (Dana) with some insight, thank you to her. Finally picked our car up after it sat for who knows how long with all the parts in because no one was working on it. Just 2 days after picking it up, our Santa Fe broke down on the highway. Now it is back here and we are out a vehicle with no loaner or rental offered, zero empathy and customer service for your clients. We have no way of getting around. I worked at a dealership for 7 years, never once treated any customer this way or ever seen this happen before, completely shocked. Horrible place with bad management and communication/ staffing issues.

TERRIBLE STAFF - No one helps when the car has issues
The engine died on my Santa Fe on 1/10/22.... it is middle of June, and they still have not fixed my truck. Originally the warranty claim was denied because I could not provide a receipt of maintenance from 2018 (REALLLY?) although i had most of 2019, all of 2020 and 2021. I was left with no choice but to go through litigation and fortunately won the case and approved to replace engine. The approval was end of April and again it is middle of June, and they have yet to replace my engine. I email them weekly and only told no update. Yet no one has told me if the engine has even been ordered and if it has, when was it ordered? Or why it is taking so long. I guess another lawsuit but this time it is with the dealership and not corporate.

Issue resolved quickly
After Ed learned of my concern and called right away to discuss and remind me of what he previously discussed with me. He also let me know that because my repair is still in open status because it has more than one step to go through in the process and that is the reason I did not get the closeout out paper work. He also set the expectation going forward.

horrible service. They kept my car and did not even log it in and gave me no paper work when I picked it up
Ed took my car in at around 7:45 am for an oil consumption test. the vehicle was supposed to stay for 24 hrs. He called me before 4pm the same day to say come pick up your vehicle. When I arrived The cashier could not locate my vehicle in the system they had no record of it being there. Finally the person he had left the vehicle with brought my vehicle to me did not have any paper work. He said Ed told him to just give me the vehicle. They had not done anything with my vehicle they didn't even log it into the system. I called today they rep said the last time they saw my vehicle was a week ago. Staff keeps lying and giving the run around. I suggest we all contact the media.

WORST dealership experience I've ever had! Save your time and headache. Go somewhere else!
I went to this Hyundai dealership trying to buy an SUV. After a test drive, I asked if they could give me an out-the-door quote. They would NOT do that. In fact, they refused to give me anything in writing.

I spend almost 2 hours and they said a USED TUSCON would cost me 61K plus taxes and fees. I remind you, this is a pre-owned car. Not only that, but they wanted to add a warranty option on top of that which would cost me another 3K. They said I have to buy the extra warranty because it's part of a "package" and they would not sell me the car without it.

When I asked the salesperson if he can go negotiate the price, he brought "the manager". His name was Mohammad, and this guy was even worse. I told him that I was there to buy a car and if he gives me a reasonable price, I would buy it. Not only did he refuse to give me a written quote, but he said "we can charge whatever we want on this car because it's used and the MSRP doesn't matter."

I can go on and on, but I think you all get the point.

If you have a serious issue with your vehicle that's when they ignore your calls if you want an update. If you're a paying customer you might have a better experience

They won't own up to their Mistakes. So that makes them not Trust Worthy.
I went into Mc Graph for just a routine service. Checked oil, Tires, and other minor things. They changed my oils and filter. The filter's seal wasn't put back on right. It caused my engine to throw a rod. I lost money from work, hotel stay, and rental car because I was stranded over 100 miles from home. They changed my engine and said it was a manufacturer defect. Which was saying they were not at fault for causing me to absorb other costs. I don't trust people who don't own up to their own mistakes. Avoid at all costs. Until I am made whole in this situation that was in no way my fault I will always feel this way. Buy Beware
