I own several vehicles and take them to Jeff at Maywood. He has always treated me as a valued customer. Explains what the problem is and how to fix it and what is involved in the repair. If worked on and later a problem comes up quick to make it right. I have been going to Maywood for several years. Same quality service from the beginning right up to now.
I cannot now remember how long I've been taking my vehicles to Maywood Auto, but it has been many. NEVER have I had an unpleasant experience. I greatly appreciate the way both my car and myself are treated. If anyone reading this has car problems, you will not be disappointed if you take your vehicle there for repairs. They are rated five stars with me! Jerry
So many small things were not right with my car. The team diagnosed a wiring harness fail. Kyle got all the bells and whistles back to order and deserves a gold star. Jeff runs an efficient and well-trained crew that reflects his high standards.
Went in for oil change and they warned me that battery would probably go out this winter. Preventive maintenance., who want to deal with a battery replacement in the cold!
The workers at Maywood Auto are the best! They are honest, dependable, and hard-working. They're always there when we need them, and we totally trust them.
I scheduled an appointment online since it was after hours. When I arrived at the appointed time they didn't have me on the schedule. I told them the issue (camshaft synchronizer gear had sheared off from the shaft) and how I had started the repair. Said they would get to it when possible since it wasn't on the schedule. Got a call in a couple days that the repair was started but it would take longer as they had to order the synchronizer - which I had told them from the start was needed. Next got a call that the repair was done but the engine wouldn't start - starter somehow burned up. Was quoted a price but they would have to order the part so it would be a few days to fix. Said I would get the part and replace it myself. When I got the vehicle towed back to my house I noticed the battery was down to 12V - it's a new battery, only a couple months old. Also noticed the connector to the coil was still disconnected. My theory is that they cranked the motor too much trying to start it - which it never would with the coil connector off - and drained the battery as well as burning up the starter. I replaced the starter ($175 plus 1.5 hours of my time) and charged the battery but it still wasn't starting, slow crank and squealing. Disconnected the connector to the camshaft position sensor and it turned over better but still didn't sound right. Hooked the sensor back up and got it to start but still not running right, bucking and missing like the initial failure. Don't know if the technician did the repair correctly. Was the synchronizer aligned correctly? Leary about taking it back but really think they should make things right.
I'm not a car person. Limited to adding gas and checking tires. Jeff and crew do not make me feel incompetent. They listen, understand and...most importantly... Fix the problem! I have every confidence in them. I recommend them to everyone.
