Purchasing my vehicle was a hassle
On top of the fact that my purchase was a terrible! The salesman didn’t go over any of the features or tell me anything pertinent to the vehicle. I called to service after 3000 miles I received a recording from the service department. After several attempts I went to the dealership. They informed me that the first service wasn’t until 7000 miles. When I reached 6000 I called to schedule service 3x only to get a voicemail, left several messages no one called me back. When my vehicle had 6,736 miles I was out and about and it wouldn’t start! I got needs service, I called Jim Falks only to be transferred to service and a recording. I called AAA and they couldn’t start it & planned to send a flatbed to tow me to Jim Falks. I finally got a hold of someone to help, she said it was her first day. She was able to give me an appointment for the next day @7:30am. I’ve tried to call them but haven’t heard anything yet. Don’t buy a vehicle as the service department is incompetent and not contactable. I guess I’m spoiled as I have a Toyota for 8yrs. and the service there is excellent. I plan to trade this car in and get a Toyota!

Service provided to the car.
Service department is not very efficient.
When ever you call you have to cal and be connected thru two different departments. Before you get a Hyundai service manager that handles other brands of vehicles. Only two employees present.

Always the best customer treatmeant
I have been dealing with FALK Motors since moving to Maui. Over the past 3-4 years, when needing service, Rick has been extraordinary in treating my needs for my Hyundai Sonata. Elmer, who services the car, has always been reliable and returns the car with my service requests answered.

Veloster Warranty Service
Took my Veloster in for touchscreen and rear view camera replacement. Service advisor Nick had a technician verify my vehicle concerns. Parts ordered were received in about two or three weeks. Parts were replaced under Hyundai vehicle warranty. Touchscreen and rear view camera work like new. Thank you Maui Hyundai for taking care of my Hyundai vehicle!

Terrible Service
Multiple problems with a brand new car ( bought in April of 2021) Battery goes dead very soon after driving it. Had the car towed to dealership 4 months after purchasing it, was told they replaced the battery. Less that 2 months later, car will not start. It does not get driven a lot but seriously the car isn't even a year old. THE PROBLEM THOUGH IS THE LACK OF CONCERN OF COMMUNICATION FROM THE DEALER-SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND MANAGEMENT. BOTH TIMES IT HAS BEEN TOWED THEY DO NOT EVEN CONTACT YOU TO LET YOU KNOW THE CAR IS RECEIVED AND WHEN THEY WILL EVEN LOOK AT IT EVEN THOUGH BOTH TIMES I HAVE CALLED THEM TO LET THEM ITS COMING IN. DAY 2 TODAY 11/16/2021, NO RESPONSE FROM ANYONE LETTING ME KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. VERY FRUSTRATED I HAVE BOUGHT A NEW CAR FROM THEM AND THEY COULD CARE LESS TO TRY TO SHOW THAT THEY CARE AND WILL GET IT BACK ASAP. I KNOW THIS IS A SMALL ISSUE COMPARED TO MOST CAR ISSUES BUT THE FACT IS I CANNOT COUUNT ON THEM AND THEY ARE THE ONLY DEALER ON MAUI. WOULD I EVER BUY ANOTHER VECHICLE FROM JIM FAULK AGAIN? HELL NO

Not a good experience
Oil/engine light on. Worse scenario per Rep n Merchanic..need new one. Offer to buy my veh for Parts. 1 week later took my car out of Hyundai to another auto shop. Nothing wrong with engine. Flushed, cleaned oil. 2014 Hyundai Tucson 27.000 miles. Totally tried to take advantage of my situation. Quoted $10,000 for new engine. Not a happy camper w/employees. ?

Hi Kaye,

I have reviewed your work order and talked to the technician that worked on the vehicle. based on the concerns you have, and our experience with these engines at some point you will experience complete engine failure. No one was trying to charge you $10,000 dollars for an engine, we were trying to work through the warranty process.  I understand that sometimes that takes longer than you or i wouild like, but the process is dictated by Hyundai, not us.  We still have that process open and need a form signed by you to continue it.  My concern now is that if we don't complete this process it may create issues in the future when this engine does fail.  I strongly recomend that you contact Rick and allow him to complete the process.   We have about 5 days to do so.  if  you have questions, please dont hesitate to reach out to me directly.
