Car Detail
I had concerns about the detail of my car . Hugh came to speak to me about my concerns and what could be done . He listened to me with patients and was very kind and respectful. My car was beautifully done making my costumer satisfaction experience amazing.! Hugh is an example of professionalism and should be recognized for it !!!!!!! He went above and beyond and I greatly appreciate it!!!

Given the customer service run around
I came informed a scheduled appointment regarding a pain defect issue with my 2017 Sonata that was past its extended warranty, I was then told that there was nothing that they could do and I was reared to call Hyundai directly to see if they could do anything for me. I went home called the number and was given a case number and told to go back to the dealer so that they could review the vehicle which they never did when I was in and in order of Hyundai to make a decision the dealer would have to submit pictures of the issue along with the case number that I was given. When I called back the Lia dealer in Hartford he told me that I would have to go and get 2 estimates from a body shop in order to proceed, I was never given that instruction from the Hyundai help. This has been such a horrible customer service experience and I simply have felt I have been given the runaround for something that is a known defect with the vehicle.

Drive right past this place
I buy and sell cars for a living and I normally charge a premium for my advice. I’ll tell you today this is a dealership that preys on the inexperience of the average car buyer. The “you have no choice” attitude of the management mixed with hidden pricing no customer treatment sets lia far back from local competition. If I were you I’d keep on driving, there’s plenty of other Hyundai dealers.

Fast and dependable oil change
The service advisor Hector was able to get me in for an oil change fairly quick. Was told 3 hours, but was able to do it within a hour or so.
I was very pleased on how quick the service was done.
Apparently my appointment was not in there system after making it online a week prior, but Hector was able to get me in knowing they only had 3 technicians available on a busy typical Saturday and about 40 cars scheduled.
Thanks to Hector I was able to enjoy the rest of my day.

     I can completely understand that you are busy with things, but it is very important to me that we resolve this matter.I am more than happy to use email and or this reply to communicate. I wanted to start off with an apology, as it is not our intentions to take advantage of anyone at any time. With that said Please allow me to offer an Oil change service at no charge to you to put things at easy with us. The oil additive is something that we have added to our oil change service about a year ago as we (dealer) have seen a tremendous change in engine life/longevity for the good, it also backs up with a warranty if their process is followed, Anyway please let me know if I can do anything else to resolve this matter as the star grading is very important to everyone here at the dealership and if you feel that this matter is resolved I will then ask you to consider re scoring the survey. Made things right
The service manager reached out after I had not the best experience with the service department and offered to repair the car but I had already had it fixed so instead refunded the diagnostic charge. It’s always good to see businesses reach out to customers and make things right as well as gather information to improve how they operate.

Terrible experience
Brought car in for recalls and issue with fuel light coming on and off with full tank of gas. Was told car needed a fuel pump replacement for a bad sensor. Sensor is part of the fuel pump and can’t be separated. It was also suggested that due to the milage of my car I have the transmission flushed and filter changed. I informed the service department that the milage doesn’t match the drivetrain as the motor and transmission had been replaced by Hyundai around 80,000 Miles. They should already have this information with the car history. As far as the fuel pump I was quoted $780 and change for the part and they needed payment in full to order. Then pay labor at $250 an hour when the part came in. Total was shy of $1100 for the repair. I declined the repair and took my car elsewhere. The fuel pump didn’t need replacing and the sensor slides off the fuel pump and unplugs from a harness. The part cost $28 and change and the other shops labor rate is $195. Took an hour to make the repair. Total cost was under $300 and the problem is fixed with an OEM part. Glad I went elsewhere. Being a car guy and raised around repairing vehicles I suspected that price and explanation from your dealership was very high and the pump being replaced was not necessary as it wasn’t a pump issue. I can’t imagine other customers who are not car savvy and paid the price without knowing. I won’t be referring anyone or taking my vehicle there for any repairs including recalls.
