Second opinion on my few thousand dollar estimate

I received a couple of recommendations for my 4 year old BMW that would cost a few thousand dollars. The estimates were not consistent and they came from the same place 3 months apart. He inspected my car and said everything was fine. Nothing needed to be addressed. Told me exactly what I needed to know. Gave me recommendations of when things refer to be addressed. No charge. I had gone to Josh several times years ago for a check up because my motor seemed to sound different than what I was used to. Josh explained everything was fine it had something to do with the sport mode. No charge.
