Negative Stars, Service Center is AWFUL
If I could give the service center at Lancaster Hyundai negative stars, I would.

My 2017 Tuscon was towed in for an engine replacement under the recall at the beginning of June. I was told that I could come anytime to pick up my loaner vehicle, yet I received a very rude and accusatory voicemail after the fact because I hadn't made an appointment first (the gentleman claimed that I was told to make one, yet I re-listened to the voicemail he had left about picking up the loaner and never once did he mention an appointment being necessary) and so I was apparently give the wrong loaner. I had originally been told it would be 6 weeks for my engine to be replaced, yet it was somehow finished in 6 days. At first I was thrilled, but it quickly became evident that the workmanship was shoddy at best.

Roughly 6 weeks after I picked up my car with its new engine (and mind you, I was on a 10 day vacation during those 6 weeks where the car was not being driven), my dashboard lit up with multiple warning lights. We took it back, as it seemed likely that the issues were related to the engine replacement (and were told when we called about bringing it in that they likely were related but obviously it couldn't be promised - which was understandable). A few days later, we received a phone call that the issues were supposedly unrelated and it would be $1700 to replace my ABS module, AND they couldn't guarantee that was the only thing wrong.

We eventually decided not to have the work done and were going to sell the car, as we were beyond frustrated with Hyundai at this point. When we picked my car up after this, we were charged $160 for "diagnostics" - though we had never once been told that there would be a fee. Additionally, my car was returned to me in worse shape than I dropped it off. The cover for the underside of my engine popped out minutes after we pulled out of the lot, and we had to take it to a mechanic to be reattached as we were unable to do it ourselves. The mechanic who assisted us (as well as two others we called for second opinions) said that he absolutely believes that the issues with my car are directly related to the work done when my engine was replaced. Yet somehow, Lancaster Hyundai is refusing to accept fault for their mistakes.

This service center has been dishonest, rude, uncommunicative, and absolutely awful. Mike in Service was horrible to work with, and multiple people who spoke to both me and my husband were dismissive and unpleasant to me yet spoke much more professionally to my husband. While the sales team seemed helpful nice while I was there, this experience absolutely ruined my opinion of Lancaster Hyundai. I will never buy a Hyundai or Kia again, I will never work with or buy from Lancaster County Motors again, and I will never let anyone I care about do so either.

Travelled about an hour from home passing several other Hyundai dealers to purchase my new Hyundai from Lancaster Hyundai. Excellent deals and outstanding customer service.

Worst service I ever had in my life. My car was ready and came out with more problems then when I took it to the dealership. Terrible communication as well.

Service Manager doesn't care about warranty customers
I took my fiancees Elantra in for warranty work and the repairs were not completed properly. The vehicle still had an oil leak and the corrosion recall was done with minimum effort! I contacted the service manager and got blown off. Told me they are a month out for a come back repair! UNACCEPTABLE. Don't come here unless you're a cash paying customer and even then beware!

Purchase 2019 Hyundai Sonata
I purchased a 2019 Hyundai Sonata and Rick Delk made my car buying experience an excellent one. I have wanted a Sonata for 3yrs, and I went to test drive one I saw online, and the rest is history. My experience with Rick was seamless. Rick greeted me immediately before I even got out of my beloved '04 Galante lol. From that moment forward was smooth, refreshing and comfortable (most of all). Rick was professional, personable, worked on getting me to the payments I was comfortable with, followed up after I purchased the car to check in, ordered all-weather mats for me (that came within days) and notified me of their arrival. Being a woman his kindness, show of care and patience was important to me. I have walked away from many vehicles but with Rick, he made pulling the trigger easy. Thank you, Rick, for your assistance, letting go of my old reliable felt bitter, smothered in sweet :)

Oil consumption
I purchased my 2017 Hyundai Tucson from this dealer. Unfortunately Hyundai has an oil consumption problem which they refuse to acknowledge. Please research this before you buy a Hyundai. Corporate and this dealership will not help you. I have been dealing with both since February 2022 and still have a vehicle that uses oil. I checked my oil 2000 miles from an oil change and my dipstick was dry! According to Mike Kilgore I am within Hyundai Standards. This has been an issue since 2008 and yet they still don't have if figured out. I know the dealership could do some thing but they will not!! Please research before buying! Two times in the past 2 days I have been asked to call first Mark Roberts and Kevin Shaffer. I did call, left a message and have yet to be called back. Buyer beware of Hyundai...

Easy going, no pressure
This was the first time I leased a car. The salesman, Rick Delk, gave me the pros and cons over buying and never pressured me for a decision. He was always available throughout the entire process. When I took delivery he personally set all the wifi and blue tooth connections and made sure everything worked. Lancaster Hyundai is a great place.

recall and oil change
Scheduled a Tuscon recall but also needed standard oil change. The price was $62.00. That is just ridiculous for an oil change.

As with everything in todays world, the costs of oil, washer fluid, parts and labor have all drastically increased. Just like the oil used to fuel your car, the price has doubled for engine oil in the last year as well. Our parts from Hyundai have increased this year as well because they have increased costs in production and distribution to get the parts to the dealers. Trust me, the dealership is making less on an oil change then ever before just to try and keep the pricing reasonable! Oil changes are not any bit of a money maker for us when we use high quality oil, factory parts, certified technicians and provide a $5.00 rebate from Castrol, provide a complimentary Premium car wash (Value of $10) and top off all of your fluids during the service. Providing a 1 Star review because you are upset that the price of everything has gone up is unfair to the dealership. We provide a first rate service and have been doing our very best to control the expense of a basic service. We can not do this for the same pricing as a year ago when our costs have all but doubled in the last year, but we have not doubled our pricing!

After having a HORRIBLE experience with service and Hyundai Corporate in the past 8 months. Zach provided an excellent experience when it came to getting my vehicle cleaned. My car sat at Hyundai awaiting service for 8 months after a vacation (with kids) so it DESPERATLEY needed interior cleaning ...Zach was very responsive, got me an appointment right away, made accommodations and when I received my car back I was very pleased! Zach really cares about his customers, shows compassion and is very personable!
