1st Time Buyer! Comfortable, Quick, and Easy!
Visited LKN Hyundai on June 15, 2022, and it was such a pleasant experience! I have communicated back and forth with Richard Marsh on the sales staff for the past few weeks while waiting for the Hyundai Elantra recall to be completed before purchasing a vehicle. Richard helped make the process for me, a first-time buyer, very easy and streamlined. I also want to thank Jordan Oullette for her outstanding service and candor. She was very well-informed about the different warranties and services that I could add to my Hyundai and managed to get us the best rate possible. Definitely visit LKN Hyundai for your next car purchase!

Service
Had a diagnostic done at Meineke and they stated the turbo was out in my son's Veloster. I took his vehicle to this dealership to get a second opinion. I was told after a diagnostic test that the turbo was not the problem that is was definitely the intake manifold. I ask Kolby if he was sure and he said absolutely. He gave me a price and I stated if this will fix it to proceed. Never heard back after a week so I called him and he stated he had good news and bad. Stated the manifold was on but it was not producing boost. Stated now it was the waste gate valve. Stated this would definitely get the problem fixed. Stated the intake was bad though. Right. Don't hear from him again for almost a week so I call him and he states the replaced the waste gate valve but no it is the turbo. I said I have all my calls incoming and outgoing recorded and he assured me the intake was the issue and then the waste gate and now he stating the turbo was bad which Meineke said was the issue. I told him I wasn't paying for them replacing parts that weren't bad. He then started to say those parts were contributing factors which was not what he stated. Told him I wanted to speak to the service manager and since it was the end of the day he would have him call me the next day. Didn't hear anything from them the next day so I called and asked for Rob the service manager. Kolby never told the manager the issues so I explained it to Rob. He stated he would call me back and when he did he stated his mechanic was standing behind his diagnoses and I stated wouldn't you if you made two mistakes? He then had the audacity to ask me if I would meet him half way with the costs he wanted to originally charge me. I said no and that I wanted to pick my son's car up the next day. My son picked the car up the next day. We took it to S&S Automotive in Newton and they replaced the turbo which was the issue and looked at the old parts from Hyundai and stated these parts were not bad. This dealership had my son's vehicle for almost three weeks and didn't do anything but try and charge me for parts that weren't bad. Everyone there including the service manager are so unprofessional and lack the ability to diagnose a mechanical issue. I wouldn't take anything to them to diagnose or try to repair. Consumers beware>>>>>

Service for Recall
Made an appointment for 0800 for 04/18/2022 for repairs from 3 recalls. My car has yet to be looked at or fixed. My advisor had me write down all my contact information so I can stay updated on the process, but he never told me anything, I had to call them. When I spoke with advisor, he informed me that they haven't even completed the diagnostic process. Basically my car is just sitting there until someone decides to work? I currently have no mode of transportation and this is taking entirely too long. 1st time coming here, it may definitely be my last.

I just purchased my first Hyundai vehicle and I’m sold! The sales and service staff are amazing!! From the beginning, I was treated like an actual human being and not a number! Additionally, Hyundai offers the best warranty and perks!!

My experience at The Lake Norman Hyundai dealership feels like a “family affair” and it makes a world of difference in comparison to my years of experience with other dealerships. I can honestly say that Hyundai will likely be our car of choice from now on!

Oil change
I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I waited 90 minutes for the service to be completed. When the car was returned, no one had bothered to take it through the car wash.

Be prepared to wait twice as long for your car as promised.
If I could put zero stars I would....

What was to be a routine oil change/tire rotation ended up taking double the time that I was quoted. I was told 1-1/2 hours and it took almost 3 hours. I had to ask twice when my car would be ready....once after it had been 1-3/4 hours and the second time after 2-1/2 hours. At no point did any of the service advisors tell me they were running behind or that there would be any delays. Once my car was brought out of the service area was I asked if I wanted it washed.... the dealership I bought my car from and had maintenance completed on always brought my car back washed and vacuumed. I would have LOVED to had my car washed, but after waiting for almost 3 hours and having to reschedule meetings I left.

Extremely poor customer service, poor communication and overall a horrible experience.

I will drive right past this dealership to take my car somewhere else for the routine maintenance.

On time with your scheduled appointment. Greeted by a Friendly Staff. ? They do their job while you get to enjoy a cup of coffee. They touch base with what’s going on with your vehicle, they recommend services however they do not pressure you.
