Excellent shop for dealer replacement
I have been going to this shop for a few years and every single time the service is thorough and cost effective. This time they completed a repair for the cost of 1 hour of labor time, that Infiniti of Gwinnett wanted to charge me $950 for. The only issue is that on more than one occasion their online appointment system fails to give a confirmation, I have colleague that experienced the same issue, but we are willing to overlook that because of everything else that JAR gets right.

great service...
While traveling from North GA. to South Florida, I was in need of a shop to quickly fix my 2005 Tundra, that a was running warm. JAR quickly diagnosed it as a bad radiator, got a replacement on a Saturday, and had me back on the road to Ft. Lauderdale within a few hours

Failure to resolve outstanding repairs
Richard and the Japanese Auto Repair Team,

I am writing to address the ongoing issues with my 2020 Ford F-150, which was initially serviced by your shop on April 3, 2025. Despite paying $1,430.38 and being informed that the repairs were complete, the vehicle was returned to me with unresolved problems, including the check engine light remaining on.

Under the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-390 et seq.), returning a vehicle as repaired when it still has unresolved issues could be considered a deceptive practice. Given this, and considering that I have incurred additional expenses such as vehicle rentals from Hertz and faced potential safety risks, I expect the remaining issues to be resolved promptly and without further charges.

I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and look forward to a swift and satisfactory resolution.

I been going with them for years. I can’t tell you how helpful and knowledgeable they are. They understand your needs and won’t make you spend unnecessary money that your car doesn’t need. I own new cars in the last 11 years. In my experience I can tell you that if you go to a dealership they always looking for this and that service. Japanese Auto Care is not like that. I highly recommend them and you will not regret.

Great experience
The experience was very comfortable in the waiting area.

The staff was courteous. They were receptive when I arrived and was ready to take my car at my scheduled appointment time.

Road trip
Took a newly purchased used car into this location and received an honest assessment of the car condition. They only found slight corrosion on the battery m. I appreciate this honesty which is why they service all of cars in household

Poor
Was told after items were added to my ticket that it would be done by close. It was done 40 minutes after close. The service advisor made a few unprofessional comments. He noticed me losing patience and told me “hey man I’m here late too ya know” as if I’m getting paid to be there like he is. Not a big deal but kinda dumb to say that to a customer as I am paying to be there. I witnessed the mechanic treat my truck fairly poorly when pulling out of the shop and also floored it on the test drive. Not a huge deal but not exactly professional business practice. I have always had exceptional service here and this is an outlier experience. No person or business is perfect so it will not impact my likelihood to look elsewhere for future service. JAR will continue to get my business, but if the dude with grey hair pisses me off again and I see them treating my mechanical baby like an old tractor again, I’ll probably be looking for another option.
