Service advisor
Please avoid having Heath as your service advisor. I previously had an issue where my car was broken into during a service January 2022 and my previous service advisor Brandon Wyatt and Assitant manager Paul Olawski helped compensate for the lost items. When I came in to receive an oil change, Heath asked if I would like my 60k mile service done. From what I recall, it should have been done 2/3 oil changes ago given that was part of the compensation. There was no record indicating the service being done so he was going to contact me this morning and update me. No response from him all day. This service was what Paul agreed he was going to cover due to the incident that took place in 2022. I was extremly grateful for this because he told me that this kind of incident unfortunately does not get compensated for and would have to go through insurance. While the oil change was being performed, I get a notification about my front axels are in need of a service. Heath tells me he would contact me about approval from Hyundai if it would get covered through their power train 100k warranty. I spoke with Tyrese(from sales) and a service mechanic and they both tell me that axels are covered through the 100k power train warranty. No call back about the warranty was ever made by Heath either. I called Hyundai around 12:30pm - 4pm (consistently) trying to get a hold of someone about what is going on. When I finally got a hold of him, he did not sound apologetic at all and sounded condescending. He was the one who said he would contact me in the morning. He claims that he dropped off a message to Paul and it was Paul who did not check the message.

Terrible sales people
I leased a Hyundai a few months ago. The car is great but the dealership is terrible. They did not administratively drop our trade in from my name and I am receiving mail from the DMV to give my insurance. This is a serious liability if who ever is driving my car now gets in an accident. When I tried to calling the manager, Louie, he refused to help and eventually hung up the phone. I will be taking this much further but save yourself the trouble of going to the DMV to fix their mistakes. Just go to the other side of town.

Polite not pushy.
My wife and I purchased a Santa Fe Limited from Hamdi at Hyundai of Las Vegas. Hamdi was knowledgeable and helpful. He never made us feel rushed. He answered all our questions.

100k Miles and 10 Years Later... Hyundai Doesn't Pay
My faith in Hyundai as a company dropped a ton after this experience.

My car started experiencing an issue at almost exactly 100,000 miles. I wasn't near home when it occurred, so I got it home. I wasn't positive it was an issue, so I took it on a small test drive, just a few miles. At this time I determined it was almost definitely a problem and needed to be looked at. I was around 15-20 miles over 100k at this point.

Then I drove it to Meineke (another several miles), and they themselves had to test drive it (unsure how many miles exactly). They told me they thought the transmission needed to be replaced, and since I was under 50 miles outside warranty now I should take it to Hyundai. I ended up having to take the car home, another however many miles.

Then drive it to Hyundai (another few miles). Then Hyundai of Las Vegas test drives it (I don't know how many miles). They agree transmission needs replaced. The request to have it covered is declined because I'm now exactly 67 miles outside the 100,000 mile warranty, and so far as 10 years go, I don't know when the car was originally purchased, but seeing as it's a 2012 car and the problem was in March 2022, we're talking about literally 3 months as well?

It's impossible for this not to feel like planned obsolescence. While I understand from a technical standpoint my car was outside warranty, this does not seem to fit in with the spirit of what actually happened. My car starts to break down at essentially exactly 100k miles and 10 years and it's not covered.

Not only am I not pleased with the service, this will probably frankly turn me off from ever buying a Hyundai again. Maybe this would have happened with another make, and maybe not, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I wouldn't even have paid for the repair, but I'm getting married in 2 months and don't have the time, money, or energy to shop for a car in this awful market.

Besides all the warranty stuff, it was also very hard to get in touch. I wanted to withdraw my car from use with my insurance and they required me to get the exact odometer reading, but getting that info somehow took more than a week, so I wasn't even able to do it right away. Playing phone tag over a $5,300 repair feels pretty unacceptable to me.

Matthew, Sorry that your car was not covered. Hyundai is very good at standing by their warranty but sense you are the 2nd or 3rd owner the factory coverage is only 5yr/ 60k miles and 100k plus is well past that unfortunately. I am glad we were able to get your car fixed for you and hope you do not have any future issue's.

Paul, the service manager called and explained the situation. He advised me the part is in.
My disappointment was with Brandon not the service writer who just had my car serviced. He was curious and said he would order the part which he apparently did, and from all appearances did it quickly.

We have always given every person we have dealt with a five star rating starting with the salesperson.

If a company wants to learn about customer service from bottom to top, they should use your dealership as the model.
