Terrible service
I had been waiting for about a year to get a particular suv. I was finally informed that one was "on the boat" and that if i wanted it i would need to give a $1,000 deposit to hold. I did and it arrived a month later. well needless to say, the day it arrived I got a call from the salesman wanting me to go in that day to purchase it. he made it seem like it was a do or die situation. so we went. and of course first off the bat they offered me WAY less for my trade in that what it worth(no surprise). after a couple hours putting up with bull we finally signed paperwork only to go do an inspection on the NEW vehicle and find out it was damaged!!!!! I was told that it was "probably" damaged when it was taken off the truck and that they would call and schedule for it to be fixed. NOPE I want that part to be replaced not "FIXED". anyway no one has called to schedule to get it replaced and everytime I call, I get "the service manager will call and schedule and get you a loaner to use. its been a month. you would think that since they damaged my new vehicle that they would get on it right away.

Stay far away! Unsafe Vehicles! Warranty DENIED!
I have been a loyal customer of Hyundai of El Paso for many years, With my family and I having purchased a total of 12 vehicles from them, primarily due to the allure of what is advertised as 'America's best warranty.' Regrettably, my recent experience with this dealership has left me profoundly disappointed.

In my opinion, the owner of Hyundai of El Paso, Oscar Lesser, and the General Manager, Carlos Tirado, should be deeply concerned about the reputation of their dealership. Moreover, the Service Manager, Tom DeArman, should share in this concern. It is disheartening to witness a dealership, entrusted with upholding the standards of the Hyundai brand, fail to stand by its products and warranties.

One particularly egregious issue revolves around the Theta engine, commonly found in Hyundai Santa Fe Sport vehicles sold by this dealership. This engine has a troubling history of production-related problems, leading to a class-action lawsuit against Hyundai. My ordeal began when my vehicle's engine abruptly ceased functioning while I was traveling at highway speeds on Spur 601. I consider myself fortunate that it did not result in a dangerous situation, but this incident marked just the beginning of my troubles.

The warranty claim process proved to be an exercise in frustration. Attempts to gather information over the phone were met with stonewalling, leaving me on hold for an exasperating 45 minutes before I decided to drive to the dealership while still on hold.

Upon my arrival, I was informed that my engine had indeed seized. I provided documented proof of two years of regular oil changes using full synthetic oil. Astonishingly, the dealership denied my warranty claim, citing 'exceptional maintenance neglect.' This decision felt like a blatant attempt to evade their warranty obligations and was deeply disappointing.

It came to my attention that the dealership had inaccurately entered my vehicle's mileage in the request for warranty coverage. This falsification was entered into the system and submitted for review. When I brought this issue to the attention of the Service Manager, Tom DeArman, he stated that mileage has no bearing on a decision related to warranty coverage. This raises concerns about the transparency and integrity of the dealership's practices. Entered milage was 115,223 with the actual being 72,795. A major discrepancy.

My trust in Hyundai's promise of a dependable warranty has been irrevocably shattered by my experience with Hyundai of El Paso. I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution and avoid this dealership at all costs. The behavior of its owner, general manager, and service manager has left me disheartened and questioning the integrity of their operation. Don't waste your hard-earned money here; there are more reliable options available. Oscar Leesers Hyundai of El paso is profit over people and safety. Stay far away.

Extended thier work day to fit in an out-of-state Hyundai owner
From the moment I arrived I received exceptional service. As I stood in the lot next to my car, feeling a little stressed and looking a bit lost a kind gentleman with a contagious smile approached me. He introduced himself as Eugene and asked what he could do to help me. (Thank you Eugene) I explained my situation and without hesitation he told me he was glad I had safely arrived and assured me they would take care of the situation. From there I met another, friendly face named Sam. Although their schedule was already extremely busy Sam, patiently listened while I explained my concerns. Sam, was professional yet friendly with a sense of humor.
Within two hours I was back on the road feeling safe and confident that the issue had been resolved. THANK YOU to all the staff for your kindness, concern, professionalism and for extending your day to help get me back on the road while still servicing all your scheduled customers.

An extra shout-out to Sam for providing outstanding customer service and surpassing my expectation. I especially appreciate the extra time he took to share driving tips for the local area. If he ever comes to Minnesota I would gladly return the favor by sharing tips on how to drive in the ice and snow here in MinnSNOWTA

Horrible!
Was given a two hour estimate for service, returned two hours later only to find they never started in my car since I was not in the lobby waiting. I even made an appointment. I learned my lesson before when I waited three hours in the lobby with a newborn waiting for a simple oils change. It is a shame that there is not another Hyundai in El Paso, this one is horrible.

Worst buying experience ever!
First issue-they DROPPED my brand new car from the lift when they did the oil change and smashed it. Then waited FOUR hours to tell me, knowing I was there at the dealership waiting for it with a toddler. The car was damaged pretty badly and had to be sent for repairs.
-second issue- I call to ask if there are Santa fees on the lot. They say yes and since my car is worth more than my lease, I'd get a few thousand towards a new car. I get there. Only the most expensive model is there, which I said I didn't want on the phone. The 2 different people I talked to on the phone were busy. So I start talking to a third sales person who tells me that my current car will only be paid off, and I won't get anything more than the lease. He tries to help me look for a car. Wasn't pushy. Said he found a car for me within my price range and will go pull it up. He is gone 45 minutes and comes back saying that the owner took it on a road trip? I don't know if he meant the owner of the dealership or what. But now I had been there 5 hours with a 2 year old. They said since I had been there so long, they'll work with me on the price of a new one. I keep saying that a 40k car is out of my budget.
Magically, they find the 30k Santa fe after they said that they didn't have it. I say I'll take it. They try to get me ridiculous interest rates and offer 3k LESS for my trade in. We argue back and forth for a couple hours and I get the interest rate I am okay with (4%) and they still will not pay off the trade in, but got close enough (a few hundred less than the lease price). I paid an extra $800+ and was told that the tow hitch would be ordered Friday and would be here Monday. Monday came. Tuesday came. Wednesday came. I called and called and was told I would be called back. Nope. Called again yesterday, and someome tells me that he doesn't think that they ordered it because of covid..... okay well I paid $800 for it. I expect it to be done. If it's late, it's not a big deal, but I expect to be updated. Now today, my old car payment comes out. I call hyundai financing and they say that they never got the paperwork saying I got rid of the old car. They also say that I will be refunded that money as soon as they get the paperwork.
I go in person today. They tell me that they will call me back if I write down my name and number. After not getting a call back after a long time I called them. I can hear them pick up the phone and immediately hang up. I call again same thing happens. I use my husband's phone and they answered. Then they tell me that the manager is with a customer and put me on hold. A few minutes later they get back on the phone and ask how to help and then tell me that the manager is in a meeting. At this point I know that they are dodging me. I can hear the manager standing next to the man talking on the phone telling him what to tell me. They tell me that the amount taken from my account will be put towards the next payment which is due in January. I told them no and that I want a refund. They tell me I will get a check. I ask when and they tell me within 30 days. I think that is ridiculous and tell them that I think it should be sooner. He tells me he will try and call me on Monday to let me know what's going on.

This whole process has been ridiculous.

WORST SERVICE MANAGERS EVER!
Worst service managers EVER!
I have an ongoing oil consumption test with my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and today no one knew how to check the oil level or were to damn busy to look at it.... Working on 7000 miles and now used 6.5 quarts

Told me it would be up to 4 hrs before they could look at it and I could take an UBER home or bring back later!!!

All you freaking needed to do was look at the damn oil level. all you have to do and Vergil knows but guess hasn't shown anyone... is open the hood, pull the dip stick and look at oil level and note it in your records as evidence of oil level... but they still say it's ok that "every car uses oil"

Now have a HYUNDAI AMERICA Case number and now have an attorney that is willing to go after these clowns and Hyundai for the still game!

never again, THE WORST.
no customer service, total lack of communication, the place lacks all business skills. my service rep. needs customer service training BAD. estimated recall was 2 hours, kept my vehicle with no calls to let me know until the following day, that turned into a 4 day oil change!!!!!!! when I demanded my car on the 2nd day, everything was done. this place is running scams or pulling some shady tricks to try to get customers to buy their services or my service advisor just picked me out and decided to be a massive dick. in my experience an oil change is 15 minutes. the rest of the employees are no help. I hate this place!!!!!

WORSE SERVICE ADVISOR
My vehicle has been in the Hyundai service department for 21/2 months and my worthless service advisor and his manager haven't even given me a call, I been trying to get a hold of them AND NOTHING, must be nice for them because I HAVE TOO TAKE IT TO THIS SORRY SHOP. No other Hyundai dealership around. DONT BUY HYUNDAI. Oscar Lesser no good.

SIX hour wait on a 2 hour estimate.
Three issues were explained to Service Advisor during phone call for appointment. ONLY one was on work order.

Service on my vehicle
Angel at the service department is very helpful and friendly. I waited for my oil change and cabin filter replacement with an appointment and still took about 2 hours. Great service overall.

Hide your belongings
Every time I’ve taken my car in something has gone wrong. This last time, personal belongings were taken from my car and I didn’t realize they were missing until I got home from the dealership.
