Safe Place
I live on the East coast, and am not able to travel often to see my grandmother. Thankfully I was recently able to visit her at HC and see where she lives. The staff were very supportive, the buildings well kept, and the food was excellent. Although no one obviously wants their loved ones to live away from family, I know my grandmother is in good hands and being looked after.

Martha said it's no fun living alone and she is quite happy. It's nice to have meals fixed along with having a clean home. They sponsor the hockey team and she thoroughly enjoys getting the tickets. Also, she likes bingo. Overall, it's friendly here and the help is courteous. She enjoys getting acquainted with other residents.

Frank said he enjoys living in this community. He is well satisfied and it really is such a nice place. He does not usually participate in activities because he is on dialysis and gone three times a week.

Judith said the service and the staff was excellent. Judith stated a person could not do any better than Hawthorne Court. She likes the friendliness of the staff and the residents. She likes to participate in a lot of activities, such as exercise class, sewing group, and socials. She has already recommended Hawthorne Court as a place of residence.

Roberta said she's heard nothing negative about this community. Everyone is friendly and the food is good. She likes the rooms all on the first floor. It's easy for her husband to get around. Besides playing card games, she also likes Bingo. There's a lot of things to do and overall, it's nice.

George said he enjoys living at Hawthorne Court because he enjoys just the general life there. Everything is fine and everything is in good shape. He likes everything here. He really enjoys talking with others and gardening.

Martha said the staff was very good, and they take time to speak with her. She has lived in other places, and they had terrible therapy and terrible food. Hawthorne Court has wonderful food, and she likes the personnel. They provide all kinds of games, and they deliver the games to her at different times of the day. They keep her busy with activities. They provide extra little things, and they treat her like a special friend.

Nada said that she has lots of friends and her family drops by a lot. She mentioned that this is her last home and she loves it. She added that there is not reason to be bored because you can always go down and join in something. She enjoys the games, movies and all the parties. She also enjoys walking through the court yard.

Margaret said what she likes best about living at this community is her independence. She can either stay in her room or go meet people and play games. She enjoys all of the entertainment they provide for the residents but especially the music and different bands. Hawthorne Court does a really good job on their organization and she really appreciates them.
