The opposite of customer-centric : avoid or be VERY careful
Don't expect quality customer service from Hanlees. My experience was the opposite. They follow the old-world approach of put the dealership first and the customer last. Be careful of quirky policies which are in their favor and against yours, and costly over-priced add-ones which are compulsory (who needs a $400 “door protector” as an add-on which appears as a surprise in the final invoice?). It's places with business practices like Hanlees that perpetuate the unscrupulous reputation of car dealers.

Service time was awesome
Schedule an appointment they didn’t have me wait more than an hour for sercice like other dealerships were i had appointment took 3 hours for service not here I waited for like 45 minutes

Service has greatly improved
When I first purchased my car in 2015, I found it very difficult to schedule maintenance or even get return calls. Since Liew has been there, I’ve seen so much improvement in response time and follow up service. I recently was there for minimal service, but saw a great team effort between Liew, Jay, and Sandra for appt vs greeting vs completion. Hanlees Fremont you are on the right track!

Happy camper.
Just bought a Genesis C90 Ultimate from them, excellent service.
The markup over MSRP was a little higher than expected but still a good deal.

They searched around for the specific car I wanted and found it southern CA.
Sal Lopez, salesman, and the manager Moose went out of their way, literally. At Moose’s request Sal went to Southern Ca. to pick up the car and drove it up to Fremont and delivered the car.

Great Customer Service and best car buy we ever made!
We came in expecting top be pressured to buy a car that was out of our price range and just less bang for too much buck. We were greeted kindly by Mr. Federico Williams and we showed him a car we liked and as we were going to retierive the keys for a test drive, he explaine dto us how we could get a new car for the same if not down as well as a great trade in opportunity. We listened and he sold us, and as we test drove I did my quick google research and we were definitely getting this car. I felt good to receive this type of customer service especially in such a rough time in our country. JD was efficient thorough with the contract and the necessary paperwork. He helped us to understand all the perks and points and how these and those were benefits to us the consumer. We felt great about our purchase and will be referring any and everyone we know looking for a car. Great customer service , thank you gentlemen.

Excellent service!
Among all those dealerships nearby, Vern is the only person who listened to my need, helped me schedule a quick appointment, and let me wait there so they checked the car right away. It only took an hour or so they actually solved the problem! It’s been 4 weeks the problem never happened again. I am so happy for the result, thank you Vern!

Service department
Non existent that is how I describe it. Rude. Unprofessional. Went there for regular service to find the compressor was broken. 9am appointment. Compressor went down the night before. No call to me. Wasted a day off from work. I asked if I can bring my car for regular oil change late in the afternoon instead on another day. Liu said no way and told me I can drive from Fremont to Richmond for a ln oil change. They were supposed to call me to set a day to bring the car for major work. Never got that call. Had called multiple times before anyone answers and when getting frustrated they hung up on me. I had updated all my information twice before. They told me it wasn’t. Seriously I have had many new cars in the last 25-30 years. This has to be the worst ever.

Very bad service and poor communication
Never call you back for updates. I had to make more visits onsite to get update. It took 8 business days (not counting two weekends in between, and not counting I had to wait 3 days before first available appointment). Oh, and they don’t find all problems at once (only found the 2nd problem when the first problem was covered by warranty).
