***BUYER BEWARE***
Hyundai review, but I don’t have the complete original wording available verbatim. I can reconstruct the long version from the details we had:

I honestly don’t know where to start with this experience because the whole thing has been so frustrating.

I found a vehicle at Haddad Hyundai almost two months ago. It was originally listed for $26,900, and I offered $24,000. I was told they couldn’t move thousands of dollars on the price. A few weeks later, the exact same car dropped to $24,900. I reached back out and offered $24,400 to meet them in the middle, and they still wouldn’t accept it.

At that point, I was told that if I waited a couple of weeks, they might be willing to do something around $24,000 if the vehicle was still there. I understood that the dealership had to make money, but after watching the vehicle sit there and eventually get reduced in price, the whole negotiation became extremely frustrating.

Eventually, I decided to move forward with the vehicle at around $24,172. What should have been a straightforward purchase turned into an unnecessarily stressful experience.

Communication throughout the process was one of the biggest issues. There were multiple questions I had about the vehicle’s history, service records, previous repairs, and the information shown on the Carfax. I had to repeatedly ask questions and dig for information rather than feeling like everything was being clearly explained upfront.

I also had concerns after seeing that the vehicle had previously been serviced at a Mazda dealership and that there had been repairs performed on it. I wanted a clear explanation of what had been done and why, especially because this was a used 2023 Mazda CX-50 with around 33,000 miles. Instead of feeling completely confident about the purchase, I was left having to investigate the vehicle’s history myself.

The buying process also became complicated because I was expected to wire a significant amount of money to the dealership. I was prepared to put $8,000 down and wire the remaining balance, but I wanted everything clearly documented before sending that kind of money. I was told different things throughout the process, which only added to the frustration.

I understand that buying a used vehicle isn’t always going to be completely seamless, and I don’t expect a dealership to give a car away. But I do expect transparency, consistent communication, and for the customer to feel confident about what they are buying and what they are paying.

In this case, I felt like I had to do too much of the work myself. Between the pricing negotiations, the changing price, the vehicle history questions, the previous repairs, and the communication surrounding the purchase, the experience was much more stressful than it needed to be.

The vehicle itself may ultimately be a good vehicle, but the buying experience with Haddad Hyundai is what left the biggest impression on me. I would strongly recommend doing your own research, getting the vehicle history, reviewing all service records, and asking very specific questions before committing to a purchase here.

Overall, the experience was far more frustrating than it should have been for a purchase of this size.
