I was referred by a long-time Ventura County resident to the Good Guys Garage. I own a low mileage, 4 cylinder, older 2002 Toyota Corolla CE. It needed to be smog checked along with 2026 car registration fees.
I had also asked them to do a thorough Diagnostics check of the engine (under 180,000 miles) and other areas such as the exhaust pipe, gas tank and cap, transmission, air intake, and more. Their inspection was thorough and the car is now ready for the smog check. They also let me know two of my tires were 9 years old and needed replacing. This made me realize my previous repair shop had done a minimal auto safety check. And despite putting air in my tires at least twice a month, failed to tell me the age of the tires and the fact that their side walls were cracking. They also kept me informed of their progress all along the way in terms I could understand. Best of all, each line item was reasonable and affordable. I will definitely, move all my automotive related repairs over to the Good Guys Garage on La Palma in Ventura.
