We were judged
From the moment me an my husband who is African American walked into this dealership we could feel the racism. We asked to see a GV80 genesis truck an we were passed around the room like a golf ball. A man needed my husbands information to even get a view of the inside not a test drive. We gave his information an then he walked away. We went outside thinking he was with us but nope. Then a lady came out an said she needed my husbands information to unlock the truck, I said we just gave it to a man inside she went in to verify what we just told her she came back holding to keys to tight an unlocked the door my husband sat inside an asked can I start it she was very hesitant to give him the key so my husband got out, I got in she handed me the key an I started it an turned it right off an handed her the key because she made sure to stand in the open door of the car. We went back in a she told my husband he would $12,000 down if he wanted a low $700 payment I walked up an my husband told me what she said an I was like what??? Oh no we are good to much of a down payment you could see the relief on all those white employees when we left. We went to Lexus dealership same price no money down $634 a month an they treated us with the up most respect an the King an Queen that we are. Your dealership judged us not knowing who they were dealing with. My husband is a 6 figure man as myself an it really wasn’t about $12,000 it was about how you treated us from the moment we walked in the door! So to let you all know thanks for pushing us to Lexus we look our new truck!! Your lost. If your African American don’t do business with them they don’t want you there! Sad but true story an I was so upset but I’m over it now know we see your company for what it is!
