I am very grateful for Luke Rodgers service to me in dealing with what turned out to be a lengthy process in getting my 2016 Genesis driver's side mirror replaced. It took a while to get the part, then the mirror had to be painted, then was accidentally damaged, reordered and repainted, and then I was out of town. But we got it installed today and through it all, Luke was gracious, professional, very personable and persistent in making sure he was providing good customer service and that I was pleased. All is great, thanks to Luke!! Thanks, as always, Huffines!!!!

GV80 Airbag light
Brought vehicle in for maintenance check/service and state inspection, after waiting 6 weeks for appointment. Airbag light has been on for over 2 months. Assumed that when I brought car in for maintenance the mechanics would automatically check all systems as they do when I take my other vehicles in for checks , especially since I was also having state inspection. Though they passed vehicle inspection, when I got about block away after picking up, I noticed the airbag light still bright red. Guess that means it’s safe to drive!, on top of that, tried calling the dealer after and could only get voicemail and no call back.

Bad Service
To start off with I purchased my Genesis GV80 for 2 reasons,1st the performance and comfort 2nd the maintenance program that comes with the vehicle.
I made a appointment at Genesis of Plano (A Huffines Dealership) for my 16K service and let me know I needed a loaner for Thursday 12/21/2023, which is part of the Genesis Maintenance Program along with the concierge service, in which they confirmed my appointment.
I drive to the dealership and head to service, I get greeted by ( can't remember his name but I know he was new because he didn't know much about the Genesis service) a service advisor. He looks up my appointment and acknowledges I do have a scheduled appointment, I let him know I am also having an issue with my apple carplay system in which when I plug in my usb from the car to my phone the bluetooth cuts off. The service advisor tells me that they will need it for the weekend and I said "that will be fine but I will need a loaner for that entire time." He tells me sir we don't have loaners until next week. I stated that's fine let's set up the concierge service for next week while I'm here. The service advisor says I can't set that up right now but I will call you when I get the information about when the loaners are due to be returned. At this point I'm not really happy with this service so far, I said to him I need to speak to the service manager.
The service manager comes out ( I believe his name is Marcus Procter) and ask me what was the issue, I know the service advisor has alreay filled him in because I sat there for another 5-7 minutes waitng on him to cme out of the trailer. I explain the situation again in detail.
The service manager states "we don't have any loaners and won't have any for 3 weeks." I told him that his service advisor just told me he would have one next week and he looks at his advisor in front of me and said "make sure you know what you're talking about before you tell someone that."
I stated to Marcus that I can go to Norman Oklahoma where I bought my GV80 and they will give me a car for as long as it takes to service mine. This service manager looks at me and says " oh you didn't buy this from us" and I said no at the time I bought this you guys didn't have what I wanted so I drove the Norman OK to get it.
He looks at me and says let me go in and see what I have coming up, he sends the service advisor back out instead of him having enough respect for his potential customer to come out himself, he he tells me "sir we will not have any loaners available until the middle of February 2024.
This is a slap in the face to a customer when the Genesis Brand prides itself on customer service and being one of a kind brand. This was my second time trying to do business with the Huffines family and it failed again but this time miserably.
I called Genesis of Norman about servicing my GV80 and they stated the following "Mr Collard we would be more than happy to help you and we are sorry about your experience with a Genesis Dealer." They set up an appointment for Tuesday 12/19/2023 and will have a loaner waiting for me cleaned up with a full tank of gas. I told the service manager that while they are servicing my GV80 I may just want to upgrade from a 2023 to a 2024.
So the bottom line here is not only is the dealer in Normane going to get my service the are also going to get a GV 80 prestige pkg with 16000K mile on it as a trade they are going to sell another GV 80 before the end of 2023 closeout.

Best Car Buying Experience Ever
Best car buying experience I've ever had from initial contact, to the receptionist and finally finance. Andy So was my sales rep and he was fantastic. I needed a car now that my 16 year old is driving. I had been looking at the Genesis GV70 on the Plano website for weeks. I reluctantly entered my name and contact information to get more information and was pleasantly surprised at the response from Jessica. She only texted me once to gage my interest and ask when I might come in. When we arrived Andy So was available for us. He was extremely patient as I test drove several cars deciding on the first car. The negotiations were easy, no hard selling or adding ridiculous charges that aren't necessary. Finance manager Kristy was exceptional, again no hard upselling and very professional. While we waited for finance Andy did a thorough tutorial of the car and the app. I've never had a sales person know thier product as well as Andy. He has been available for any questions and his follow-up. I highly recommend Genesis of Plano for your purchase specifically, Andy So. In addition to the fantastic car buying experience, the GV70 is incredible, from the gorgeous interior, smooth ride with several drive modes including snow, to the 4 cylinder twin turbo engine with 300hp and 311 lbs of torque and no turbo lag all making driving so fun.I also haven't seen a better warranty with any other car, including the 3 year/36K miles of service included and customer service which are second to none. Cars that are double the price and expensive to maintain can't compare. I highly recommend a Genesis as your next car and be sure to ask for Andy So at Genesis of Plano.

Poor Customer Service
I have brought my new GV70 to the service department twice now for installation of scuff guards. At the first appointment, the service agent I was assigned was even working the day of my appointment. I just stood in the service bay while everyone else got their vehicle taken care of. Once finally greeted, I asked for my agent only to be told he wasn't working that day. After waiting for the installation for 4 hours, I was told the guards were defective and they needed to be reordered. I was told I would be called when the parts were available in 3-4 days. After a week, I called to find out the status and found out the parts were in but I hadn't been called. Rescheduled the installation this morning. After waiting an hour, the service rep came out and told me the parts were defective yet again. Offered no apologies and didn't offer when new parts would be in. Didn't seem to care that my time was wasted yet again and didn't apologize for not calling me previously when the parts did come in. Blamed everything on the parts manufacturer. Had to remind him that Huffines was buying from this manufacturer and that they were making the choice to continue to use a vendor that was supplying defective parts.

2nd Worse Auto Service
My 1st service after my purchase was terrible. I was my review could be as positive as many of the others but that was not MY experience. Made an appointment to drop off vehicle which I thought had significance - obviously not! When I arrived at my appointment time, I was NOT immediately greeted even though there were advisors just standing/sitting there. After someone decided to intake my vehicle, he immediately said they would keep my car for 2-3 WITHOUT even knowing the problem or what it would take to repair it. My car was kept for a WEEK and NO ONE bothered to call me to inform me of what problems were found, what needs to be done to correct the issues or even update me on what's going with car. I get a call 5 1/2 days later saying my vehicle was ready. When I get my car the next day, it was brought to me covered in BIRD CRAP & DUST!! I had to wait 15-20 for them to wash the mess off of my car, which should have be cleaned period!! I have my own speculations as to why but I'll save that for a later conversation. Will drive to the next nearest Genesis service center going forward!!

Great Experience!
I had a time at the Genesis of Plano Dealership. Everyone was kind and helpful. I am able to call the dealership for tutorials for my smart car, yeah! Christen Johnson was absolutely amazing is securing the sale of my GV70!
We had been shopping for about 6 months and Mia, our contact at Genesis Plano, was the only person that bothered to keep us advised when you got cars in that we might be interested in. We had shopped Lexus, BMW and Porsche. Pays to keep in contact with your customer!
