I have never had a worse experience at a car dealership than at Genesis of Danbury. I was lied to multiple times, I was cheated multiple times, and I was ignored. This could be a very long review but the short version is I went on a test drive and liked a certified used 2022 Genesis G70 but immediately noticed a sensor error on the dash. I brought it up and was told it was a known issue and would be taken care of. I go inside and agree to buy it and the sales guy tells me the price of the car is going up because I’m paying cash when he just told me 3 days prior the price is the same no matter how I pay. When I bring that up to him he has the nerve to lie to my face and say the rule just changed in the last 3 days. They string me along for a week while they try to fix the sensor error, I leave work earlier a week later when they tell me its ready, I have an appointment and spend close to 3 hours at the dealership doing paperwork. I drive it off the lot and 10 min later then sensor error comes back on. I immediately called and they said they’d give me a loaner. After a ton of back and forth for over a month it comes out in an email that this sensor error has been known since March! 7 months before I stepped foot into the dealership. So they sold me a car that they have not been able to fix for 7 months and called it a certified car. I tell them numerous times I don’t want the car anymore and I want a refund and my trade in car back. They tell me they can’t give me my trade in vehicle back because they sold my trade in. My trade in could not have been sold because I never gave them the title to it as I was on the duplicate to come in from DMV. I had to write an email to the owners of the dealership telling them how awful this entire process has been. I get a call back and they agree to refund me and give me my trade in back. They 3 days later they call me back and again tell me they can’t give me my trade in back because it is indeed sold (again without the title) They have lied the entire way. There are many more details I could give about this 2 months ordeal but that is the basic version. In the end I bought from Genesis Milford which was a much more honest and reasonable dealership and actually a pleasure to work with. Stay far far away from Genesis Danbury.
First time at Danbury Genesis and found it to be a good experience. Sales personnel were helpful in finding what I needed and helping me with the purchase.
Always go to Danbury Genesis and will continue to do so with the excellent inventory and service to match. Thanks to everyone for always getting me into my favorite cars.

Terrible Customer Service Will Never Return.
Horrible service, arrogant and pushy sales person. This place was unprofessional and full of nonsense. The sales people are condescending and need lessons on customer service. I asked the sales person to be straight with me and that I did not want to waste time playing games. He was rude and tried to talk down to me, after I gave him my credit card and wanted to put down a deposit he came back and said someone else just placed a deposit after he said "first come first serve theres no deposit on it" . This was very unprofessional, he did this only after he found out I was using my own financing. I will never go there again, I do not recommend this dealership unless you want to the worst experience, overpay and deal with scam artists. I'm extremely disappointed and if Genesis wants to sell cars from this dealership they definitely need to train their staff on customer service.

Bungled disposition of trade in vehicle. Multiple calls unreturned. Complete absence of customer support .
I recently purchased a GV70 from Genesis of Danbury. I traded in a BMW X5 as a part of the purchase of the GV70 and was issued new plates as a part of the transaction. Five weeks after the purchase I received a voicemail from the CT Dept. of Motor Vehicles informing me that the dealership mistakenly renewed the BMW's registration in my name and the registration for the new vehicle. Multiple calls to the dealer's sales team (salesman Carlos Montoya) and Genesis manager have been unreturned. Additionally, the manager's voicemail box is full and will not accept any messages. I have spent over 40 minutes on hold with the DMV two times before giving up each time. This morning I spent 40 minutes at my local tax department documenting what transpired so that it is on record when I receive two property tax bills next June. I love the vehicle. My experience with the service department has been top notch and the Genesis Genius post-delivery instruction was fantastic. The complete lack of communication and concern by the management is sickening.
Not representative of the luxury car experience that Genesis is striving for.

Terrible customer service
Very terrible customer service!!! My mom’s car was towed here a week ago as it suddenly shut off on the highway. She was told she could have it looked at the next day as every other place has told me it would take a week to even look at it. She was promised a call back every day but never received one so she had to take it upon herself to call them and one day she was on hold for 26 mins and then the phone hung up. The advisor keeps telling her he has no idea what’s wrong and that he will call her the next day but he never does. Also she was told they don’t have loaners available but never even made an effort to try to help her out with getting one!! Very terrible, she feels highly disrespected, we are livid and she feels very mistreated by the staff of this place. This is unacceptable and veryyyyyy unprofessional!!! Just to have a diagnosis done it takes you this long!?! Very dishonest and poor customer service. Completely insane, about to have the car towed somewhere else because this is ridiculous. I highly recommend NOT to have your car serviced here as you will be waiting for days on end just to hear an answer that will never come. If I could give this place a 0 out of 5 I would. Unprofessional and disgraceful…
