We are sorry to see you were not completely satisfied with the quote for our work.
Maybe some explanations would help with understanding what our pricing and the work involves in this much misunderstood service.
We always recommend replacing all 4 tire pressure monitoring sensors when installing new tires when the sensors are over 5 years old. Typically these sensors and or their batteries only last 6-7 years.
Even if all 4 are working well or only 1 is bad at 5 years of service, then these sensors will most likely all go bad before the next set of tires is needed.
That means you will want or need to replace the sensors and the cost of the labor to remove, replace and reprogram them, re-balance all 4 tires, and test drive to ensure proper operation will not be something most people would want to pay after getting new tires.
The cost for your particular sensors is $121 alone. We quoted $409 for all 4 sensors, giving you a $75 discount to do all 4 together.
We do have to charge for diagnostic service as our employees need paid while here at work.
In our opinion the shop who replaced your old tires should have replaced the sensors when they replaced your tires. Maybe they wanted you to return to them to make additional money when your sensor(s) failed.
We have lots of 5 star reviews where our customers rave about how we have saved them money and not tried to take advantage of them by short cuts or loading extra service or parts to their bills. We hope you will consider the above information and give us another chance to earn your business in the future.
